My dad and I had a very rough relationship growing up lots of physical beatings I can remeber one time he knocked me out and was holding me up by my shirt when I woke up I finally lost it and tackled him and punched beside his head about 5 times until my hand blew up on the floor we didn’t talk for 2 years he ended up having a stroke and I couldn’t bare to not see him before something worse happened when I walked in the hospital room he broke out in tears and apologized for everything and my dad isn’t the type to show emotion I could tell this was real I got down on my knee and hugged him I hadn’t hugged my father probably since I was like 6 or so I was 21 when this happened I felt all the anger towards him instantly gone I stayed in the hospital with him for the whole week after work and brought him food and code we now have an awesome relationship for anyone out there who’s father did them wrong best medicine is forgiveness believe me if I can do it you can too
