Mellow Cottonmouth Moccasin Capture
มุมมอง 3521 วันที่ผ่านมา
My dog spotted this water moccasin and, showing more intelligence than usual, decided not to mess with it. I decided to give it a ride to a remote area.

Young Hawks Eating 2024
มุมมอง 43หลายเดือนก่อน
Young hawks dine on snakes, frogs, birds, and baby bunnies. They don't use knives and forks, so you might want to consider whether you want to see how they do it.
Rehoming a Cottonmouth Moccasin May 2024
มุมมอง 10K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
This water moccasin has been hanging around my pond and I have been waiting to find it on land. Today I spotted it and caught it and gave it a ride several miles out to an even more rural area where it's unlikely to bother any people or dogs.
Water Moccassin in Pond 2024
มุมมอง 5602 หลายเดือนก่อน
A water moccassin in our pond. It has been reported to Moccassins Not Chasing People on Facebook.
why was it moved
To prevent conflict with my dogs if it stayed in my yard and with my neighbors if it left. It's in a place with a lot fewer people and dogs.
Thats not how you do it! 🤬
Ahh…what?
Gg😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😢🎉😢😂🎉🎉😂😢😂😢😮😂😅😊
Cottonmouth 😎 👍
Incredible ride. Looks awesome !
Sorry I missed you! But, I would have either been unable to keep up, or have run aground chasing you into the shallows. That boat looks fun! Sail On!
It's a tandem so you should come along some time!
That would be great! Perhaps after the first hurricane of the season passes by and leaves us a clear sky and fresh breeze!
My son loves his trips to the keys! These guys always take great care of him, and we always have lots of fish to eat for months to come! Can't thank you enough
They will go back unless you take them a ways away from where you got them.
not a fan of that kind of nope rope. Most others I can play with.
I recommend Moccasins Not Chasing People for the comedy and Cottonmouth Acres for interesting content on FB. This one was a bit too much of a threat to Starr for me. She spotted it and came to a stop a couple of feet in front of it. They were staring each other down when I figured out what she was staring at and called her away. But what if she only spots the tail, thinks it's a lizard, and pounces? I didn't want to risk it.
Very cool. It’s remarkable how high the cottonmouth floats compared to our usual banded and brown water snakes we have around here.
Starr seems surprisingly fine with sharing her pond with the invaders. 😊
She doesn't swim and is kind of afraid of anything that does.
Bummer.
..that's living....
Who needs gaffs or nets?? 😂
Como
I did not know tarpon could thrive in freshwater - until today. Cool!
That was a redfish at the beginning of the video and there are snook and mangrove snapper too, along with blue crabs. We used to have mullet but they are gone and I haven't put more.
@Boatflix All in your freshwater spring fed pond? That is amazing! I guess I never knew what I didn't know. Ha!
@@TomScottMorgan30 I learned that an artesian pond down the street near the water plant had saltwater fish and gave it a shot. It worked. No one is admitting to putting the tarpon in there, of course.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing that. Some of those boats look familiar. I may have seen them many years ago when I dropped in on them at the same place. Good to see them still enjoying themselves! Sail on!
WCTSS is a very active group still with an event every month or so and casual sails in between.
Looking good keep the videos coming! Looks line somewhere in FL....above Ft. Myers?
Wait. Where is Starr??
You took Starr to Sunseeker's? Did she have the steak? 😂
Looking great! Keep the TI videos coming!
That looks like great fun! There is no better place to "enjoy" those winds than your backyard. Sail On Tom!
Strong winds and flat water = max fun
The ability to furl sail on the fly makes these boats very versatile.
That looks like a boat you could enter in the Everglades Challenge!
Dozens of them do. And they do well.
Starr is smart. Otters can be surprisingly fierce if they have to fight. They are cute, agile, cuddly, and will bite your face off. 😅
Every time I see a picture of your pond, I am anticipating Libby jumping into it at any moment. ❤
Tom you have to meet Starr. She doesn't swim but if Libby was Superdog, dog of Steel, she's the new, stronger, lighter carbon fiber version! ;)
@@Boatflix Yes - I will have to meet her!
There's a banjo tune in there, somewhere.
Bicho lindo
Now, off to the local chinese restaurant !!
Snap, looks like a campground/rv park….so the 9mm is out…..thought tucking a skunk tail is puckering
I realize this is a 13-year-old video but I'm trying to turn a 32 ft CNC into a trimaran using Hobie Cat hulls as a donor for the project how would I attach this to the boat itself where it wouldn't rip it apart? I can't find anything on TH-cam about any of it which is unusual for TH-cam
How many feet long was this run?
Wow look at that
thanks
Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff, thanks!
Wayne, one Sun Cat sailor did manage to get his boat blown onto its side but they righted it. The story is somewhere on the Trailer Sailors catboat forum. For more Sun Cat fun, please come to the Sun Cat National Championship Regatta next month.
No record anywhere of a 17' Sun Cat capsizing. It is derived from heavy, shallow keeled workboats that brought its fisherfolk home day after day. I call mine a "roving conversation pit". Plenty of room, stable, no excitement of a boom coming at your because of the high clearance. Quite enough to hear the dolphins puffing as they cruise by. Thanks for sharing your story. Jerry Kyker, I do not know. I suggest asking on the Watertribe forum.
Looks fun. Can you tell me the make / model of the sail boat that is in 1:07 and 1:27 of your video? Thanks for sharing.
Freesailer, I believe he used a larger nozzle when spraying gelcoat with that sprayer than the one he used with paint, but the big difference is made by pressurizing the tank to force the gelcoat through. I'd say test your equipment on a sample piece and see.
so much work.. goshhh
912in916, I am not part of a club but have been wanting to get another one for match racing on my pond. Are you interested in parting with that one?
Looks like the AI couldn't keep up in heavy wind?
I'm not sure, but his general answer to any question that begins with the words "why don't you just buy" is "because I can make my own!" We were mixing large batches for color consistency and adding catalyst in the mix/spray cup so it would not kick off too soon. Did not have any problems with that technique.
why dont you just buy a gel coat gun? gel coat is to thick for spray guns, unless you have a larger nozzel. i would also pour and mix in a seperate cup.
Well done Tom, glad some-one took the time to do a walkthrough of the fleet'Cheers from Ian Klutke...aka...Vintagereplica
Nope... it's the blue Puffer next to the red Sailbird.
If your boat is the tri "Big Red" I have a pretty good picture of it at the dock at CP1.
