Sometimes the edges invert, causing a vortex. Maybe shape matching would work? Anyway, it's much more stable than before. This is running with 2 iterations per frame, and no broad phase (idk why) which is why the 30 fps bits are sped up. #physicsengine

I always thought the tnt firework skin was useless as it explodes upon finishing, destroying your build but this? Why didn't I think of that. Also the reson why this glitch works is bc the fire work is still attach in the code allowing this to happen, also the pig didn't get blown out bc the explosion with the firework is slightly weaker than of a tnt. blast radius still the same tho
i wonder is sub 3:50 is possible anyways massive congrats to you for beating my run. if you wanna make this run even faster, you can copy the individual level wrs and try to pull them off, but idk how consistent catapulting ross through the air on lvl 7 is
Woah that's crazy, I always just launched Ross with fireworks and propellers into the sky then used other fireworks to propel myself forward, this is way better than that!

I created a version with simple friction (no static friction, and it's a constant "damping" amount which isn't too accurate), but never posted it. It's not too different overall.

been trying the pig dupe glitch for an hour, got the pause right once but my game crashed and i couldn't get it since.you still out there?
How did it crash? I've never had a crash with this glitch, only softlocks. For consistency, it's mainly about moving through menus as fast as possible. There is a new method though that's more consistent that I've commented (it's a comment in this comment section from me. Not pinned because TH-cam doesn't allow small channels to pin comments anymore).

I think I figured it out. If you messed up the glitch, leave the app and try again, let’s take Field of dreams. For example, if you set up the pigs, leave the app, then do the glitch and if you mess it up, leave the app and try it again until you get it.

In 1-17 , there has a better contraption . I got -2.08 with star box and it is not the limit . Using the phrase think outside the box , getting star box lead to a longer slide distance 😀

How are you resolving collisions currently? If you're using impulses, you might want to damp the resolving collision impulse by some factor < 1 and see if that helps things settle
Currently, I use line vs line to detect collisions, and find the shortest of the line normals to push out. I use how far the collision point is along both lines to weight the push outs to account for rotation. If I damp the push out vector (which also effects velocity, as I use motion verlet), objects sink into each other and it becomes more unstable
