So....beautiful... as much as the movie may have botched the anime series by trying to cram all 39 episodes into a measly hour and a half, I will admit without fault that this scene between Utena and Anthy, dancing among the roses, as well as the symbolism behind it all...It was done to perfection. An absolute masterpiece.
I actually like the idea that the movie is a sequel, after the “revolution” in the anime series took place I mean come on why else would Anthy immediately recognize Utena in the movie
Yeah, I know. :-) Though I am not sure why I called it an extended and re-cut scene back then, I am guessing I was too busy enjoying the awesome song and getting my opinion of the Utena movie out to watch it all through. Anyway, it's a good work, and I thank you for it. I love the full song, it's had a place on my MP3 player for a good long time now, and I don't see that changing.

quizas sea porque cuando la vi en el cine aca en Chile (por esos años habia un grupo organizado que exhibia funciones de animé todos los sabados), estaba viviendo situaciones bastante especiales en la universidad y con mi grupo de amigos. The song is "Toki Ni Ai Wa" and the video in question is an extended and re-cut scene from the movie "Adolescence of Utena", a condensed movie adaptation of the anime series "Shojou Kakumei Utena", aka "Revolutionary Girl Utena". Story-wise the movie is a steaming pile of turd compared to the series, but it does have fantastic art design and some breathtaking scenes, including the source for this video which is really one of the best of all time. If only the rest of the movie matched up.

@BonkuriTokio112 It's worth noting that due ot the psychological complexity(hell, even just plot complexity) as well as lack of promotion within the United States, Utena is one of those series that will never be mainstream poular. In the end, just another way of distinguishing cable anime fans from hardcore anime fans.
This song is so beautiful and goes perfectly with this movie. Love the footage in the video---it brings back memories of watching this series.
@BonkuriTokio112 probably because its a yuri anime and yuri is not that popular...which is kind of weird since Sailor Moon has yuri in it and its really popular

sorry . i'm not the creater but it is an extra on the dvd. at least the one ihave though
errr i asked a different thing... I know it's the movie (i've got both movie and tv serie XD) but the dancing scene is quite different, in your video we can see for example Utena still sleeping, or in the middle there's also akio. So I asked if it's a bonus video on the dvd, or a video created by yourself taking clips from the movie :D
it is an actual scene. its not from the anime but rather the ova movie which is called the adolsence of utena. there is a manga of the same title. i actually got the movie first then the series. i have the manga for the film as well
Is this an amv you created or just a bonus in the dvd? (seems so because of the phrases in japanese and so scenes I can't really remember :D) anyway good song, i luv utena <3
