hi bro, may i know what type matchmove software you are using?
Hi @kuanhonglim9804, I used "Adobe After Effects". First I did a camera track using "3D camera tracker" in After Effects, and then with the help of a free script "AE3D Export" I exported out the camera track for Maya. 😊
@@sunitdrozario thank Q, bro, i am using Maya 2022 which version adobe can provide perfect matching?
@@kuanhonglim9804 You can use adobe after effects 2020 and higher. I am not sure if the versions older than that will support or not. But you can use 2020 or higher versions.
great video, however, why does your sphere look more smooth than mine? You can more ragged edges on mine.
@ValentinaRosas-q6y Thank you, I am glad you liked it.😊 I think maybe you don't have enough subdivisions on your model. OR If you have enough subdivisions and still getting hard edges, then you can go to edge mode and select all the edges of the model, and then by holding shift right click, go to "Soften/Harden Edge", and then select "Soften Edge". I think it will solve your problem. If you are still facing any issues, feel free to ask me. 😊

Hi @keepwatching8953 You will find the link for the reference image in the video description itself. 😊
Height map to dala ni
@sheenakataria1333 If you are applying normal map then no need to add height map again. While both normal and height maps give our low-poly models the appearance of more detail, they are used for distinctly different purposes. The most obvious difference is that height maps are greyscale only, because they only portray height differences. Black is 'down', white is 'up', and 0.5 gray means no change of height. Normal maps, on the other hand, do not contain any height information whatsoever. Instead, they contain angle information. They are colorful because the RGB value tells the renderer which direction the slope is facing and how steep that slope is. The most important advantage of this is that we can use angle information to artificially bend edges of adjacent faces toward each other to produce a beveling effect. This cannot be done with only height information, because the renderer would have no way of knowing in which direction the edges should be bent. And that's why I didn't use height map, since I am using normal map. I hope this clears your doubt. If you have any other doubts, please feel free to ask me. 😊
@@sunitdrozario bro I applied with substance. Substance tab mai hota hai na vo jo ek baari Mai pick krleta h. Par usme. Dikat ye h ki shape hi khrab hogyi. Texture daalne se
@@sheenakataria1333 If the shape of your model is getting distorted, that means maybe you need to adjust your displacement value. Select the displacement node from hypershade, and then in attributes, under "Arnold" tab, you will find "Scaler zero value". Try to change that value and see if the result is coming out proper. I hope this will help. Feel free to let me know if you are still facing any issue.😊
Thanks, this video saved me some time, much appreciated !
@PolygonPimp Your welcome. I am glad you liked it 😊.
Awesome tutorial! Thanks man!Do you know if the interactive xgen support UDIMS textures ? :0
Hi, Thank you so much, I am glad you liked it 😊. I think XGen Interactive Grooming doesn't directly support UDIM textures natively within the tool itself. However, you can still use UDIM textures in your workflow by manually assigning them in your renderer. For example, if you're using Arnold Renderer with Maya, you can assign UDIM textures to your groomed geometry by specifying the appropriate file paths in the shader network or using a texture node that supports UDIMs.
Thank you for the tutorial May I ask you how to convert it into polygons? Thank you
@marionrapisarda6612 Thank you. I am glad you liked it. To convert XGen hair to polygons, in the Outliner or the XGen Editor, select the XGen description you want to convert. Then go to "Generate" on the top menu bar, and under that you will find "Convert XGen Primitives to Polygons". Click on that then a option box will open. From that option box, only make sure "Combine Mesh" option is turned on. And keep rest of the settings as default. What "combine mesh" option does is, it makes all the hair in one single polygon. If you don't turn on "combine mesh" option, then it will create every single polygon out of every single hair. After that click on convert. This will create a new polygon mesh based on your XGen hair description. Once the conversion is done, you should see the new polygon mesh in your scene. You can further tweak or refine this mesh as needed. I hope I have answered your question 😊. If you have any other queries, please feel free to ask me.

Hi @nurinarifah285, around 3:03 I have applied circularize components to make the faces circular in shape. I AM FACING ISSUE WHILE APPLYIMG HEIGHT MAP IN MAYA
Hi Aman, may I know what kind of issue you are facing?
I know. After applying height we can't see that in render. That's the problem. I faced same in 3ds max also 😑@@sunitdrozario
@sheenakataria1333 Height map is to create a displacement or bump effect on your 3D model. The exact steps can vary depending on the software you are using. I use Autodesk Maya, so here are the general steps for applying a height map in Autodesk Maya: Open your scene: Make sure your model is loaded in the scene. Assign a material: Select the object you want to apply the height map to and assign a material to it (e.g., a Lambert or Arnold Standard Surface material). Open the Hypershade: Go to Windows > Rendering Editors > Hypershade. Add a Displacement Node: In the Hypershade, create a Displacement node (for Arnold, you would use aiDisplacement). Connect this node to the Displacement Shader input of your material's shading group. Load the Height Map: Connect your height map texture to the Displacement node. For Arnold, you can use the aiImage node to load your height map. Adjust Displacement Settings: In the Displacement node, adjust the Scale and other parameters to achieve the desired effect. You may need to tweak these values based on the intensity of your height map. Render Settings: Ensure that displacement is enabled in your render settings. For Arnold, go to Render Settings > Arnold Renderer > Subdivision and Displacement Attributes and make sure displacement is enabled. Render your scene to see the displacement effect applied to your model. And then adjust the displacement settings as per your need. I hope this will help. If you have any other doubts, feel free to ask me in the comment section.
Oh my god, thanks so much. Very informative.

Hi, Sunith can you make one tortoise modelling with texturing and rigging like the Leo movie please.
@marypresenta6245 Wow a tortoise 🤩. Sure I will make it. Stay tuned.
Thank you so much Sunith. One more request Sunith I want to know how the muscle system of the tortoise is working in the Leo movie. It was so flexible I wanted to learn that. Your help will support me to learn that. Thanks a lot Sunith once again.
@@marypresenta6245 That's all about how great the animators worked on the animation. I don't think they have used any muscle systems on the characters in Leo movie. I might be wrong. But some advanced rigs have muscle systems which have that dynamic controls on them which allows the overlapping movements. I am not expert in rigging but I will try to make some.

Amazing work sunit bro 🎉👏🏻
@Mandeep8471 Thank you so much Mandeep bro 😁
hi, do you have an explanation to why did you cut exactly those lines to unfuld? Im not good at uv unwrapping 😅
Hi @lukito02 Cutting edges strategically allows you to create UV maps that closely match the shapes of the corresponding parts of the 3D model. This minimizes texture distortion, ensuring that textures appear correctly and without stretching when applied to the model. Cutting UVs along seams makes it easier to paint textures in 2D image editing softwares like Substance Painter, Photoshop etc. Each UV map represents a distinct part of the model, making it simpler to apply textures accurately to specific areas without bleeding into other parts. Strategic UV cutting allows for the efficient arrangement of UV maps, which can enable texture reuse. By using the same texture for multiple parts of the model (for example a house model which have similar shapes like windows and doors), you can save memory and improve rendering performance. I hope this answers your question. If you have any other queries feel free to ask me. I will be more than happy to answer them. ☺
@@sunitdrozario ohh alright, that cleared a lot, thanks. I just have one more question, how do you know where to put the seams?
@@lukito02 It totally depends on the shape of the model. When unwrapping UVs in Maya, you typically want to cut along edges that will allow the UVs to unfold in a way that minimizes distortion and makes texturing easier. Here's a general approach to determining where to cut edges: For planar surfaces, you can often cut along the edges where the surface changes direction. This helps create clean, easily manageable UV islands. For parts of the model that won't be seen or where seams are less noticeable, such as the bottom of a character's shoe, you can cut along edges that are less visible to avoid seams on more visible areas. Some models have natural seams where separate pieces would join in real life, like the seams on clothing or the edges of separate objects that are joined together. Consider the flow of edges on the model. Try to cut along edges that follow natural seams or boundaries to maintain the continuity of the texture. Cut along edges where stretching will be less noticeable or where it can be easily corrected, such as areas that will be covered by a separate texture or where texture details are less important. Use Maya's UV Texture Editor's checker pattern to visualize stretching. Cut along edges that help minimize stretching and maintain a uniform checker pattern. Sometimes, the best way to determine where to cut is through trial and error. Experiment with different edge cuts to see which ones result in the least distortion and easiest texturing workflow. I hope I have answered your question. ☺
@@sunitdrozario thank you so so so much, you've helped me a lot! ❤

@theanimatorsway5565 Thank you very much. I am glad you liked it. ☺ Duplicate special is used to create copies of objects with specific transformations or variations. Unlike the regular duplicate command, Duplicate Special allows you to replicate objects while applying custom scaling, rotation, and translation parameters. It helps speed up the modeling process by letting us duplicate objects while tweaking each one to fit our design precisely. Basically if you are making a face model, then delete one of the side and use duplicate special. Now whatever changes you are making in one side, it will automatically update on the other side. Hope this answers your question. If you still have any doubts, feel free to ask me. I will be more than happy to clear your doubts.☺

I'm a beginner 3D artist and your video helps me so much to make my own model ! Thank you so much for the clear explanation <3 !
I am really glad that it helped 😊.
How you made your portfolio can you pls support me, I am very new for that. Thanks 🙏🙏
Creating a portfolio for 3D modeling is essential to showcase your skills and attract potential clients or employers. Choose Your Best Work. Select a variety of your best 3D models that demonstrate your skills and versatility. Include a mix of personal projects and professional work, if applicable. Arrange your work in a logical order. You might organize it by project type, style, or complexity. Consider creating separate sections for different types of 3D modeling (e.g., characters, environments, objects). If possible, include progress shots or breakdowns of your work. This can showcase your workflow and attention to detail. Showcase a range of projects to demonstrate your ability to handle different styles and challenges. Include wireframes, textures, and renders to showcase your modeling, texturing, and rendering skills. Include a clear way for potential clients or employers to contact you. This could be an email address or a contact form. Keep your portfolio up to date with your latest work. Remove outdated or weaker pieces to maintain a high-quality presentation. Hopefully I have answered your question 😊. If you have any other queries, please feel free to ask me.
Thank you Soo much!!

@hugosurvendredi Thank you so much 😊.
Hi, Sunit how to bring pivot point to the centre. I did it in many ways but some bulge is happening in the centre. Please help
Hi @marypresenta6245, 1) Press and hold V and D key on keyboard simultaneously the drag the mouse, you can snap the pivot with the any vertex of the object. 2) Press and hold X and D key simultaneously and drag to snap pivot with grid. 3) Press and hold D key then drag the mouse and you can move the pivot freely. Try these shortcuts, and if you are facing any distortion in the mesh while doing these, then go to 'edit', then select 'delete by type', and then 'history'. Hopefully these will solve the issue. Try it and let me know if you are still facing any problem.
Thank you for your reply Sunit. Doing your bird model if any doubt is there I will reach you. Once again thank you so much for this cute bird modelling.
@@marypresenta6245 Sure, Glad to hear that😊. Thank you
Hi Sunit sorry to disturb you. I struck over in the wing portion. You are using the multi cut tool to adjust the edge flow during that time you are making the vertex point inside the faces also but when I am doing only I can make the vertex point on the edges only not on the faces. While your cursor is moving the portion got highlighted in read but for me it is in blue. Can you please help me to solve it. Sunith one humble request next time please do the tutorial slowly I can't able to catch your speed😢
Hi,@@marypresenta6245 I think you're symmetry is turned on, that's why you are getting blue color highlights and also you are not able to create points on faces using multicut tool. You can turn off the symmetry mode and try to use multicut tool. I think it will solve the issue. To turn off symmetry mode, first go to object mode, then hold shift, control and right click simultaneously, then go to symmetry, and turn off symmetry mode. And if you still face any issue please let me know. And about the request of slowing down the speed for this video, you can use TH-cam's playback speed mode to reduce it to 0.5 instead of keeping the playback speed to normal 😁. I will keep that in mind for the future videos. And thank you so much, I am really grateful that you are following my videos. I would love to see your works. 😊 If want, you can tag me your works on Instagram @sunitdrozario
