Remember & complete long-term tasks! - Pencil board hack
มุมมอง 1432 หลายเดือนก่อน
The important but not urgent (for today) tasks are the most forlorn items on the to-do list. So easily forgotten, and annoying to migrate day after day. But how do you remember something that has to be done this week/month but not right now? This pencil board has been revolutionary to staying on top of my semi-urgent tasks. My pencil board is an expanded idea that I originally found from @Seawe...

My 5 notebook system for planning & creativity #audhd
มุมมอง 1.2K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've finally pieced together my ultimate notebook planner system for peace of mind, organization, journaling, commonplace, creative writing, and therapeutic brain dumping as someone who wants to do it all without going crazy. It combines pocket notebooks and an A6 daily planner for flexible combinations of topics/categories. You can probably make use of this system with the stationary you alrea...
cute ^_^
That vintage ring binder is stunning; what a wonderful find! Very interesting that they were talking about their "spirit friends" - maybe they needed those commonplace prayers to deal with demons they were sitting with every night lol. Lots of good finds from your parents' house!
Haven't even watched the video yet but I just wanted to say I loved the thumbnail❤
What a lucky man your husband is😊
Covered all the essentials! Perfect.
Oh my gosh, yes! I’ll need to put earplugs in my wedding bag! Thank you for the reminder 🤗
Great idea!
Thank you for watching!
I think this is the definition of "self-care." (Not the IG influencer pumpkin-spice-latte mani-pedi days). "Deathly neutral undertones" made me laugh. CONGRATULATIONS!
I feel that! Thank you for watching ☺
Dig the camera angle. Keep up the good work 👌
Thanks so much!
Seems like a cool time to been young. My mom would be like, 24 when this vid was filmed... wooowww lol...I have vague memories of this time period
I am currently trying to reorganize my closet and get back to dressing in my style (instead of plain tshirts and joggers/jeans) and seeing this randomly pop on my feed was perfect! 🩷 I'm also Audhd and this seems like such a good idea!! Also you have a very soothing voice and the video was so nice to watch right before bed~
I'm so glad that this video found you! Thank you for watching and for leaving such a thoughtful comment ☺
Hello! May I ask you how old are you? You are so wise and inspiring :)
@@r21747 thank you! 💕 I'm 31
That pencil board idea is genius! I mostly just use it as a book mark + straight edge. Sometimes when I stuck too many things on the pages, it becomes a little bit hard to write on the paper. It could be helpful in that situation too.
This is very similar to my notebook system. I just have 6 notebooks. The sixth notebook is for my art ideas
I appreciated your /*comment*/. 😂. I do have a few notebooks. I have field notes and have discovered Rollbahn notebooks which are now my go-to. I have one that acts as the planner/notes/journal and then one for writing (right now it is filled with poems).
The closet binder is low key genius
I just made a full video about it! th-cam.com/video/KNlT-kjKnzo/w-d-xo.html
Mnemosyne is a lovely brand and they have such a variety of notebooks. (It's pronounced ne-moss-inny with the same rhythm as the word "velocity" - sorry, it's the best explanation I can type out 😂)
8:26 Using the pencil board as a weekly and monthly to-do is so genius I might steal that! I'm starting from bullet journal where my most effective method is doing the alastair's rolling weekly method on one page and then jotting down what I actually did everyday on the next page, I called it "to-do list" and "done list" to check whether I'm actually overestimate myself when planning on doing certain work (which I often did, as an ADHDer). Next year I'm actually planning on moving to Hobonichi but still with my bujo system. Planning on doing the main planner on the Weeks since the layout seems like I can do my usual bujo "to-do" and "done" lists there, but I also bought the A6 techo, initially wanted to use them as a memory keeper, but dang those little time tracking layout in the daily pages really makes me want to do some planning in them, but my main concern is that I can't have my rolling weeklies in there--and I need to be able to see what's exactly waiting for me in weekly format. Using the pencil board might be the answer if I want to try doing my main planning on the A6 techo. I'll try it up this december and let's see if I'm enjoying it more on the Weeks or the Techo. Thanks for the inspiration!! 😁
I'm glad you like it!! I just made a designated video all about it: th-cam.com/video/b9kM2vwZX3U/w-d-xo.html
They are plenty of notebooks at Dollar tree store for $1.25, for a lot of writing.
I like the tweed cover. Classy.
I agree! I also just made a full video about how I've been using the binder: th-cam.com/video/KNlT-kjKnzo/w-d-xo.html
I don’t download things.
I looooove the closet binder idea. I haven’t been diagnosed but I’ve been thinking about it because I will fixate on things and get overwhelmed with choices when I’m supposed to be getting ready for the day or during transition times. Also, I am nostalgic for paper dolls and dressing up my Barbie in different combinations 😂. Also also, what an excellent find for your binder!
Likewise! I wonder if kids growing up these days still play with paper dolls, I loved it as well. I just made an update video all about how I've been using the binder: th-cam.com/video/KNlT-kjKnzo/w-d-xo.html
i'm very self-contradicting about notebook thickness 😂 realistically, i'm better off with 60 sheets or less, but the visual impact of a having 80 sheets and more is so satisfying even when I can't actually fill it up functionally (I'd fill it with so many meaningless things, I actually lose track of the ideas I want to go back to) and yes, I've recently been charmed by graph papers coz they make me aware of the space I use.
from 15:44 to 15:59 if that ain't me, dang. I feel crazy trying to explain to neurotypicals that I can barely retain long term info, and I'm expected to retain short term ones. Not easy at all
I started a bujo, but then realized my life was uneventful on a daily/weekly basis LOL. I bought a lot of stationary to decorate my spreads with, so now I've just been using it to make themed collages about random subjects when I feel creative. I actually started making my own stamps out of rubber erasers to decorate with, too! If you like stamps and drawing, I think it's a really fun hobby to get into. Overall, journaling made me realize that I didn't need to write everything in my life down, I just needed a tangible outlet for my creativity! I do love dream journaling, though ✨
Same, I've had a love of stationery since childhood and during Covid I discovered the journaling community on YT and Instagram. I started journaling only to find out I don't really do much for me to write about. Four years later and I've finally worked out what I want to document so I have a few journals/notebooks on the go.
I gotta know what was signed that you couldn't show!
I was 11 in '09 and my besties big sister was 19, i thought her purple walls were the coolest 😂 And the graffiti jeans. What a throwback
This is my bag of dirt.. I’m collecting dirt now lol
Maybe I have missed it but where do you print out those small photos? The size of them is just right for my journal. I use Muji’s passport size notebook, too 😊
I made a template for printing 9 at a time on standard 8.5 x 11 paper. A bit of slide cutting and they get right down to 2.5 x 3.5 inches
@@Pixel-Vine Thank you so much for teaching me about printing techniques. I realize how little I knew about the subject.
What a time 🥲💌
This is giving me major nostalgia XD
Sorry I misspoke about the size of the final item in the video, it's actually-- A5 Wool Cover Ring Binder: amzn.to/4ez7DHL
Tha k you for uploading this ❤
This is so cool! What I would give to go back to 2009 😢
This is so uncanny! First, because your face is still the same now as it was in this video but the way you spoke was so teenager-like :-D But also because I'm currently preparing to move, and sorting through boxes of souvenirs from 15-30 years ago. I'm feeling quite nostalgic right now. Thanks for your time capsule!
If you are planning to preserve the book for years, please note that thermal papers giveup the printed stuff after a couple of years. You will see only blank white or faded thermal papers after a few years.
This is very true
Better to use the transparent or semi transparent stickers which are supposed to last 20 years.
I know the audio is a little intense and my camera work is shaky, but I though it'd be fun to post this unedited time capsule from the year 2009 when I was 16 years old.
Thank you so much for this video! I have been using the travelers notebook and just ordered some new refills. I love them. Your layout was pretty inspiring and will help me with what my common place notebook could look like! Working on writing smaller, I wish my handwriting wasn’t so bad. I use the field note notebooks to write letters to my sons and one day I hope to give them an archival box each as a wedding gift or when they have their first kids! I look forward to more content.
enjoyed this :)
I knew just his poem, tyger, tyger, burning bright but you showed me that he was more than that. Thank you. 😊I didn’t know about the band’s name story.
👍🏼👍🏼
Love these kind of videos! Definitely encourage introspective thoughts
Glad you enjoyed it!
Will you marry me ❤

Much needed, beautifully explained
'Fruit of that pursuit', poetry, good start. Thanks for the recommendations and the wisdom.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The algorithm brought me here. I am a sub from your other channel and have been rabbit holing consciousness. Great chat and advice. Timing is right up my alley for my life's current events. :) be well.
Perfect! So glad it's fitting into your world right now
Glad to see this dissertation on following your own conscious growth. After many years of reading the eastern philosophies, podcasts became a thing, and I found the Insight Meditation Center. Which led me to Ram Das, Alan Watts, Dennis Leary, Terrance McKenna, and many others. I agree that sometimes the best option for when you feel stuck is to completely switch genres and mediums, and trust that you will find what you need. I'm very impressed by your growth as a person. And even though it doesn't mean much, as an internet stranger, I'm proud of you.
Thank you very much for your insightful comment. It really warms my heart.
Your channel helps me a lot.
I'm so glad to hear 😊
@@Pixel-Vine I’ve been to Milwaukee and Madison. They are beautiful places to visit. The Mid Best! I was wondering which bike I should buy Harley or Ducati, coz a Ducati’s dealer is close to my place and it’s much cheaper. I still wanna buy Harley, though. It’s gonna be my first bike. Making plans are very hard for me so taking memo is important. I wanna try organizing notebook system for sure.
Moar 🗿
