Back in 2000, on an excursion to Hannibal, Mo. We saw the steamboat Delta Queen departing, each her and 1522 gave a whistle salute! It was awesome!!!

Excellent run by, perfect! Beautiful locomotive!

Every excursion that I have been on ended too soon. I am glad that I caught 1522 on the Hannibal sub a few times.

I think a long time ago a lot of people never thought N&W #611 would steam again but right now she's at the Strasburg Railroad running tourist trains. I think if something happens and the Virginia Museum of transportation can't afford #611's maintenance anymore she would fit right in at Strasburg. But if #611 can have a new lease on life then #1522 can too. Never say never. If #611 can steam again so can #1522
