In this update I speak about adding health bars, non enemy objects, trap tiles, combat tweaking, and even adding a super attack. Due to the length of this one, I actually had to do some editing. The more time I spend on these update vids, the less I have to work on coding, so I promise you the editing will not get any better than this.

Platform Dropping Fix

Looked into the bug where the platform was descending slowly to the ground extremely slowly. Turns out it was a Carry bug that was causing the lo Y value of the object to accumulate over time. Fixed it with a "CLC" and now they seem to be stable! Thanks to claydragon44 for pointing out the issue!

They say you can measure a man by the enemies he makes. I'm trying to make the best enemies I can. This vid shows off the new ai jumping ability, and yet more combat tweaks.

Further work being done on the fighting. It's important to think about how the combat works, so its not just the player walking from enemy to enemy, tapping the attack button 5 times like you are mining resources in an RTS, and moving on. I also talk a bit about how enemy movement/behaviour might work when not getting beaten to a pulp.

-added some proper background sprites to better illustrate whats happening. -added a check for vertical (z axis) height on the collision detection, so players can go over or under enemies. -changed shadow behaviour. may need further tweaks.

Love the updates and new power move and enemy UI. I did have one question, how did you set all the background tiles to move back and forth at the end of the super move to give the “screen shake” appearance in NESMaker?

I am planning on adding a fun little screen shake when the knocked enemies hit a wall. could probably also do a destructable tile the same way.
