Spreading Gravel on the Driveway #drivewayconstruction #gravel #graveldriveway #exercise #jakepaul
Spreading Gravel around the driveway . Loading it in dumpcart to bring around. What a workout for a 50 year old truck driver that spends most of his day sitting on his butt. Jake Paul if you want to go a few rounds and pay me a million I'd take it. Shoveling that Gravel for 2 minutes think would easily compare to a round of boxing. Come on I could use the money.

Driving in snow is the biggest thing preventing me from taking a career in trucking. Ive had way too many close calls even in smaller vehicles.
@devinhallsworth5531 It takes getting used to but it is easier in a loaded truck. Slow down, leave more space and most important find a place to park if needed. A good company will allow you to wait till it's over. If they wanted the stuff in your truck today they will definitely want it tomorrow.
That's a little sketchy, be careful out there my friend.
Glad to see youre safe, and there isnt a constant flow of 4 wheelers doing a buck fifteen cutting around you!

I was born mt airy and used to go up and down fancy gap 4 days a week trucking when I lived there
@RonDavis-hy2no Not fun in the snow I would think. DOT keep it well maintained?
@trainstractorscarsandtruck7362 back when the state workers maintained the roads it was kept up better, since the private contractors mainly clear the roads it's hit and miss depends on which county you are going through a lot of the time but Carroll County for the most part has always done a good job with fancy gap
@RonDavis-hy2no That's good. When government contracts it out to private companies it usually falls apart. Just look at some of my videos about New Brunswick. Horrible snowplowing and full of hills. Thankfully none as long as Fancy Gap. Couple of miles at most but some are steeper.

I could see the mountain being graded from my back yard to build I-77 as a boy, the old route, US 52 ,claimed what seemed like 1 trucker a month, especially at Tates curve. There are videos here of traveling down the mountain on 52 -in cars- trucks are forbidden to use that route.

@gsr2envy Not a Toyota tech but if you have the 2.0 Litre Engine in the S models you have a CVT with no drain pan, if you have the automatic. I also has a 1st or launch gear. Not sure if it has a filter or not but only way to change it, if it does, is to crack open transmission case.
Passing on the right ain't right.
@butchs6099 Keep right except to pass. UHaul and Dump Semi were in left lane the whole way down. Sorry but they want to live in left lane that's there problem
Sitting in the left lane because you aren’t paying attention, too scared to change, or being rude is not right. I traveled as a passenger from ‘74-‘86 through the different routes to get to the upper portion of WV from Fort Liberty and from ’87- present as a driver and honestly the respect and cooperation on the roads has faded. I would never and will never intentionally be in a truck drivers way, to close to a motorcycle, playing brake check, etc especially through these mountains and hills that visibility and road conditions can change on a turn or elevation change from valley and up or even tunnel entry to tunnel exit. Most of us can usually quote what the laws and guidelines are however sometimes due to others driving whether offensive or too defensive or just plain irresponsible lol around the danger to follow those known laws and guidelines can make the situation go from bad to deadly.
@@heatherpoole7582pretty much my point. Don't crowd your way down. Always leave yourself an out. If someone is hogging the left lane which is a given fact anymore then let em go. Go a little slower in the right lane and leave yourself an out. By choosing to show the idiot in the left lane the "I'll show you" mentality is just crowding and creating more of a potential hazard.. with Jake brakes on almost every truck these days it can't be that hard to manage a slower speed and stay to the right and leave an open hole in front of you. Let others pass on the left.
We run that route heading from Raleigh to Pigeon Forge with our fifth wheel. It's far easier than I-40 is/was. Looking east while traveling up and down Fancy Gap is amazingly beautiful.
It is often foggy going down Fancy gap the three escape ramps are no joke. This is not a fun descent when it is icy
@WBDE No hills are fun when it's icy. I wouldn't go down this hill if it was icy. The 1st escape ramp is to high up the mountain though. You wouldn't even know your brakes were gone before you passed it.

@@trainstractorscarsandtruck7362 ah got it, I didn't notice the hashtag part.. which make me question what did he actually mean lol. But yeah... what are the odds....
I did this on my YT4000. I could not get everything back in place for the large smooth pully with the spring attached to the arm. The pivot point and washer wouldn't stay aligned while I tried to get the nut back on and tight. I detached the spring, bolted everything back where it belonged, then used a $6 tool designed to remove and replace motorcycle muffler springs the get the spring back through the frame. It is a lot simpler job if the spring on that arm is detached first.
@@qwertybdj1 Thanks for the tip
stop spending anymore money. It appears you are in Quebec, cheap power about 9c/kWh. At your latitude solar might make possibly 1000kWh/kw of solar installed/yr Your 12.4kW system hopefully 12,000kWh/yr x .09c/kWh(grid power) = $1080 avg $90/mo. Cost to install solar assume $3/watt? x 12400 watts = $37,200 Loan payments 5% interest about $250/mo for 20 years, if they last that long. Inverters typically last 10-12 years, solar panels age making less power every year. If you say max power is about 8.4kW, what time of year is this? When sun rays are perpendicular to the panels, it should be making max power closer to 10kW. Payback, never, anything goes wrong it gets worse. You can adjust above numbers to meet your costs of install accordingly. $250/mo above from a simple bank loan calculator 5% interest over 20 years. Of course things will change, reamortization typically every 5 years, local power cost will rise, but you face underperfroming panels, warranty claims, inverters replacements, good luck.......If it was invested money by the rule of 72. 72 if you assume 5% return, your money will double in 14 years. In 14 years assuming above, you will have spent $42,000 to save $15,200 in power. Borrowed money $37,200 would have doubled to $74,400. Nobody seems to understand solar calculations, solar salesmen tell you payback will happen soon and from then on free power. In 6 mo. of winter it will make about 20% of total power or in the above case maybe 2000kWh x .09c/kWh = $180 or $30/mo if you are lucky. Loan payments won't stop at $250/mo.
@normyanke2515 that's alot of work and writing for nothing. I'm not in Quebec. I'm in Nova Scotia. On track to make around 15,000 a year. Currently use 21,000. NS is 13.9 cents per kwh. I have an interest free government grant with a $5,000 dollar rebate. I pay $333 per month for 10 years which is what I pay per month to Power Company on equal billing. I will be making big improvements to our house. Heat pumps and basement insulation that should bring our usage down to what the solar system produces. All parts in system have a 25 year warranty. Free power for 15 years. Thanks for your concern but it has been scrutinized very clearly.
@@trainstractorscarsandtruck7362 that makes it easier thanks for the info update. Public info suggests solar in Nova Scotia can earn 1100kWh/kw/yr therefore your 12400kw system should make about 13600kWh/yr. At 13.9c/kWh grid cost worth about $1900 or $150/mo. So your present $333 equal billing should go down to about $185/mo. Presume $3/watt installed for 12400kW=$37200 less $5000 subsidy rebate so $32000 borrowed at 5% payback say 15 years is payments of $250/mo. Plus as above $185/mo,(grid power equal payments) new monthly payments of $435 instead of $333! In six months of winter your system will earn about 20% of annual power or about 2500kWh x 13.9c/kWh(grid power cost) or $$347 about $58/mo. While winter grid consumption goes up and payments continue as above $435/mo. Never mind solar panels ages making less power every year, life expectancy 25 years, warranty issues good luck with that. You plan on being off grid? Better get a big genset and large fuel tank for winter. As an electrical eelectronics engineering technologist I am not fooled. Hope this helps someone else from wasting their money. When solar is viable we will all know it.
@normyanke2515 Thanks for your opinion but your numbers are off. Cost of electricity is about to take a big jump and continues to rise every year. Plus with the renovations upcoming that amount I'm paying to power company should be zero and no I'm not planning to ever be off grid.
Fmcsa just approved these for a limited amount of trucks for a company to try. But I think they pulse 4 times really bright then go to a solid light.
@drock5108 He actually had 4 way flashers on but turn signals are in the brake light position on trailer. Growing trend in Canada to put trailer lights backwards. Needs to stop
The nuts that hold the links to the sector gear plate are accessible from the top using a socket with an extension. There are holes through the frame. You do have to turn the plate to a position under the access point. It is easier than taking the sector plate off. I have replaced spindles, linkages, pivot plates and bolts, and the sector gear plate on my YT4000. Also put bearings in the wheels instead of bushings. I had extreme toe out. After the repairs, I still have slight toe out - I am looking into the adjustable linkages.
Thank you ☺️

Sorry to say it, but I’ve seen one too many CDL drivers that speak no English. Explain that.
I guess it is different in trucking, but at my job if I see someone new struggling I offer to help them.
@user-yk2zb6nm7o I agree but a video doesn't show the whole story. Very arrogant driver that thinks he is the best driver in the world.
Help how..!? Point which ever way you want, if they can’t drive, then they can’t drive! And that’s Straight Back… what type of help do you need?!
I been a driver for over 30 years and I try to lend a hand to anyone who may need it. Then I tease them after it's done but in fun. But that's old school
People don’t help anymore, they just film.
@jessecohen3634 They have to want the help. When they think they are the best and give you attitude, that's there problem. Not the first time I've seen him.
Either the school that trained him sucked or didn't care to train him. Or bought his license at the swapped meet
@gus5417 Most schools in Ontario I think are revolving doors. Hi welcome this is a truck, here is the wheel, fuel pedal and brake. Here is your license.
How do they make it this so difficult to do?
@hungtrinh83 Could be worse. With the right setup, lift and tools you could probably do it in 20 minutes.
How much does a third axle on the trailer change the dynamics of backing?
@1219magnum It slows down or speeds up the turn depending on whether you are uphill or downhill grade. But it really depends, having a tandem slid back or forward does the same thing. If it's fully loaded and you have it turned real sharply if you were in a tight spot it is hard on the clutch and you can really feel the weight if you aren't smooth.
