@@GtekiPS Zero, you just need to delay the last hit of df1,1+2,1+2 by a tiny bit and then hit d1+2 when you see the spike animation. Literally just a timing thing

You have to delay the last hit. If you press fast the string you get on spike, if you delay a bit the last 1+2 you will get the spike animation and then the free d1+2

You delay the df1,2,1+2 you will notice opponent get spiked differently, it is almost last relatable frame

I really don't agree with the "move was too strong", when in this game you have things like Jin D2, Drag hatchet and others. It was a good move and it is worthless now. Bear pedal is ok at best, lacking range and high crush. The others yea are good, but mad slow

@@le_le99 I played Tekken 8 online today, and unfortunately, I'm not happy with it. Kuma has completely lost his fighting style; he's like any other fighter now. Lying down/charging and most attacks from rolling are now useless considering the pace of the game is much faster than in Tekken 7. This character is a mess; a punch to the ankle is pathetic, countering with double paw strikes is weak. Most of his good moves are significantly weaker, and the ones they added are pretty much unnecessary. They also removed the triple hammer strike. Overall, Kuma has completely lost his uniqueness. Rage art also seems to deal less damage than in Tekken 7. I've even lost interest in making Kuma my main. It was fisr day of playing my T8 kuma but its different character then before.

While I can understand this, I still find it weird since not even Bears mids are supposed to be good. Sooo... what's left?

Oh shit, that's a really forbidden move. The frames are bad and the combo after is... weird to say the least. But still, I can try labbin some situations where it can be used

@@le_le99 My friend said I should use it more in certain situations but you still get clipped sometimes, even though it moves bear more than a regular sidestep.

@@SmoHawkY I can't really agree with this one. Sidestep 1+2 expands your hurtbox and is hella long. It actually makes you even more easy to get clipped. There are probably some situations where it works tho, I should lab them

@@le_le99 Oh I totally agree with you. I also think that this move is bad. I just wanted to test if there are some niche situations where this move shines.

Here are 2 setups for sidestep 1+2 (they're both not that great) 1. Sidestep 1+2 on natural hit combos into d1+2, and an uncharged salmon hunter in the open after that is unpunishable because of the pushback (and you can also whiff punish their punish attempt). 2. Qcf2,2 wall combo into sidestep 1+2 (sidestep in the direction the wall combo pushed opponent). It catches all getup kicks for a ch launch and hits all other wakeup options (they can backdash out of ukemi) for -9 OB, the above setup on hit, and launch on counterhit. This particular setup is actually much better done by using u2 instead of sidestep 1+2 since that has better tracking, more range, is not as minus on block, is -6 instead of -9 OB, does 5 more damage, and the setup on normal hit is also better (ff 1+2 (small dash in the ff input, so not as quick as possible) catches a lot of getup options).

Oh yea you are right, but it's still 3-4 uses per round compared to the ability to use it whenever you want
