The Terraformers was such a delightful read. It's split into three sections, each is a different time period on the planet, so you get to see the planet's full development. If you're looking for something with very unique, imaginative concepts and characters, this is it. I was just so fascinated to see what was on each next page.

🗳️ I went back and peeked at your Twitter poll, and found you got 100% votes for ‘film it!’ which made me laugh. ⭐️ Your comparison between the Ward books was interesting, but “The Darkness Before Them” was my 2nd most recent 5⭐️ rating. The actual most recent was “Legacy of Brick & Bone” in July, which, if I’m being honest with you right now, is a BotY contender, honest and true. I know 😱

😂 LOL at the “what do the kids say… getting old” comment, because I get the lingo update firmware download from you 😆 Video goals? How about learning and applying some new video editing trick into your repertoire every week? I don’t do it myself so I don’t know any specifics, just something you haven’t tried before maybe? You mention that feeling of starting a new book. I think for me I get that sensation from *picking* a new book out to read. I really look forward to that, finishing a book so I can pick a new one. I”m actually less keen on *starting* a new book, simply because it can be hard to settle in and there are so many pages remaining at that point. so many! It’s nice to see that I’m ahead of you on “Legacy of Steel” as that means slightly less pressure to get that chonky boi done in a rush. As of tonight (Monday 5th) I am at 35%, and I’m time slicing it with another pick because the battle scenes and some PoVs are just quite a lot. 🧈 I find Readathons super stressful so I tend to swerve them. The folks that absolutely monster their TBRs and Readathons absolutely blow my mind, I have no idea how it’s possible.

I picked up Ardor Benn recently as well because I saw it every time in Waterstones! 📚 I’ve just read ‘How To Become The Dark Lord and Die Trying’… really funny and well written. 55 books down for the year so far which I’m happy with 👌🏻

👋 Hi! 🙋‍♂️ 😍”Velocity Weapon”!!! 😍 Bero! 😁 I got me a ‘few’ Orbit sale items. Mine were mostly book 2 or 3 of trilogies. Frustratingly some are Glossy and some are Matt/Satin. So I ended up with trilogy sets where one or two are shiny. Like you, my “Legacy Trilogy” is a;so a mix. They don’t match, which is supremely annoying I gotta admit, so not just a you problem, but a problem shared.

I believe in you, you're gonna rock this TBR hahahah. I am super excited to read Fogbound and The First Binding myself, hope they are bangers!!

I was... very much not a fan of The Luminaries 😅 I listened to them via audio and both Luminaries and Hunting Moon are super quick reads, so regardless it should be speedy! Good luck with your tbr! 🍦🎶🚐 Sounds like you signed up for all the things in this episode! I definitely couldn’t manage all of the things, it’s all a bit too stressful for my little head, as I have discovered in the past. I thought you made the right call on taking “The Branded” with you instead of “The Fire Within Them”, as I like to mix things up and read something else in-between books of a series. I got that idea from BookTube and it stuck with me, so I make a point of it nowadays myself wherever possible. And it seemed like a win for you with this week’s adventures ⭐️ But also, mixing things up by parking VLOGging for sit-down episodes seems like a similar kind of variety goodness? Spend to save on shipping with “Dark Lord”! That’s kind of what I did with the recent Hayes “The Bound Folio” order. I figured I might as well let some extras ‘fall’ into my basket since I was going to get them eventually anyway. I’ve left a couple more to go in with all of “The God Eater” book ones when they all arrive in print later in Summer too. Planning ahead… Favourite tropes? They would be heists and xeno-archaeology. They are practically insta-buy tropes for me 😁 I even tag them up as such on The StoryGraph. Not so much the ❤️ books, but as you requested the emoji…

I got an audio arc from NetGalley of the Branded. I was surprised by how much I liked it! I kind of thought it would be too romance heavy for me, but I thought it was great.
