I checked this and it wasn’t on Apple Pencil will always be assisted :/ so I changed it to Apple Pencil double tap and I can now come out of it. It’s so frustrating

Darn--I got stuck on assisted drawing and couldn't disable it. Followed these directions. Didn't work. Rebooted. Didn't work. Then I found out (online) that I had to disable the drawing assist on each layer I'd used it on. WORKED!
