My family lived in Sunnyvale for 25 years and loved it. I agree with all you say. Yes, it is boring and too expensive for young adults and many move away after college. It is great place to raise kids though. Plus it has a downtown with a permanently closed off street. Other local suburbs do not have this draw. Thanks for your review!

He is very misinformed, San Jose has a lot to offer. You can either go to Great America which is an amusement park. Or if you like the arts you can go to the theater which offers plays. And we have many museums. We also have an improv center for comedy. We also have the sports center for soccer and many events like basketball or concerts. This man is mal-informed

You did not mention about one of the most important amenity...How far and how good are choices for hospitals and emergency clinics both for human and pets?

Santa Clara was the best orchard, farm community, small town feel during the 60's thru the 70's. Ever since tech evolved, this place is nothing but for the working class. Everybody trying to make as much money as they can and your identity is what you do not what you are. It's not a community based city it's a place to work and pay lots of taxes and pay for overpriced apartments, condo's & homes. Gentrification capital of silicon valley usa.

Hayes Mansion i use to visit all the time as a kid with “Italians” vivid memories (From the 1990’s)! i also remember standing in front of a door there that was super tiny. Have a lot of dreams about this place for some reason.

I used to live near San Jose and it’s not a good place to live or visit there it’s expensive a lot of homeless people now and it’s dirty get out of there while you still can.

I heard some say it's boring in San Jose, as here from natives say it's not much in San Jose, as it may not be like San Diego, of tourist attractions to go and see. Say like I in the heart of the Bay of Oakland and San Francisco, because of the hills and views.

Im surprised you didn't mention Castro Valley. Right next to San Leandro and Hayward, but better schools and more of a small town feel.

The BART goes to NE San Jose which is not close to any of the tech companies in silicon valley. You will still have to take VTA to get further into the valley.

Strongly disagree about public transit. Bro, this area is famous throughout the world for our high quality public transit network. I'm 46, grew up here, and don't know how to drive. Next you're going to say NYC has horrible public transit, lol.

Richmond is a ghetto, it's crime rate is right behind Oakland. Pittsburg, Antioch and Hercules have crime problems too, but not as bad as Oakland or Richmond. I'm surprised he didn't mention my area. Fairfield and Vallejo are also somewhat affordable (by Bay Area standards), but they are semi ghetto too.
