Error in the score in the timpani part sixth bar after G (page 15 at 8:40): the third note d should be an e instead (in the manner of the similar sequence on page 18). Sibelius had no "on the fly" retunings.

The Sunrise movement has to be one of the most monumentally gorgeous pieces of music I've ever heard! To me, it sounds like being reborn. I am wholeheartedly unashamed to admit that I get teary-eyed every single time 🥲

I love how Sibelius is such a beloved composer to some people (me included) but can’t help feeling sad that his music doesn’t touch everyone as deeply.
You can say that about any composer.

The initial statement of the main theme ( 0:39 ) is just so good... That combination of muted trumpet and oboe, then clarinet sounds like a cornett! Perfectly fits the character of theme itself. Great stuff :)
