Thinks continue to be challenging and stuff keeps going south, but we are not laying down. Adapting with the changes is the most important part of homesteading.

    I have a 2015 Ford Explorer where I was getting that "Shutter". You've got the deck angle theory figured out. As far as the top link goes, if it is too short, as your tractor crests an incline (or even small elevation changes in the field) and the front wheels begin to go downhill, your bushhog will elevate leaving a section of grass that is cut higher (or not at all) than the height you have it set at. Too much length in the top link and you will tend to scalp the top of the incline as the bushhog body bottoms out. You may have to play with that adjustment to get it just right.

    How well has the fan worked? What kind of temperatures have you had? Both the outdoor temperature and the temps inside the greenhouse with the fan working? Thanks for the installation video. I'll be setting up my own greenhouse soon. I have side windows, not roof vents. I want to build a cupola to hold a fan on the north side and a clock on the south side. The largest fan I'll be able to have is probably 14 inches. The GH itself is 9ft x 14 ft with a 9 ft peak on a hip roof shape. I'm hoping this will work well enough to keep my plants alive in summer. 91F to 98F is not at all unusual here in central Alabama in July and August.

    • @honeyrockacres
      @honeyrockacres 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are welcome! I would say it has done pretty good. We get 90-100 temps frequently here as well. I keep the doors open on the hottest days and between that, the fan, and the 50% shade cloth, it manages to keep the temps within 10 degrees of the outside temp. If I leave the doors closed, it gets very warm still. Ideally, I would have put the fan up higher, and maybe get a larger fan, but that is what the budget could afford. Overall, I am very happy with how it does. I grew gigantic tomato plants and peppers in there this summer. Summary of my experience... Get the largest fan you can fit/afford, make sure you have good airflow either with vents down low or with open windows/doors, and don't be afraid to add a shade cloth through the hottest part of the year.

    Do you have the part numbers or the links to the fans? On the Dell website, there is only one fan available. I'd like to buy both at the same time and replace both while I have the machine open.

      Unfortunately I don't. I have gone back through my conversation with support and I even pulled them back out and I don't have record of the numbers. When replacing mine, I was working with tech support and they had them identified as "CPU Fan" and "GPU Fan". In my case, I just ended up having support mail them as a warranty replacement, so I never identified the part numbers. Even without warranty, you might be able to get their tech support to provide them.

      @@honeyrockacres No worries. I called Dell and found the part number for my Precision 5540. They noted that the parts may be different from different 5540's but these are the numbers for my 5540, which is around 3/4 years old. Part numbers are: Precision 5540 (2021) Left Side Fan F01PX
