Not a bad video. I assume the monotone voice is a deliberate choice, but there are definitely some points where you sound a little stilted, like the odd gap mid sentence at 0:55. I'd recommend speaking in a regular cadence. I enjoyed the content though, you hit a bunch of relevant points on the game in a short time frame. Nice work.

Awesome video!! I am neck deep in all this stuff as well, haha. Very good explanation, as usual! What was the crazy complex kanji you showed? I recognized a few of the elements that made it up but even so I can't begin to guess what it means 😂
It was the kanji for 'biangbiang noodles' ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biangbiang_noodles ) apparently it's one of the most complicated kanji! I'll have to try them sometime~
Sick, feels a little Charlie Brown esque then you drop that pixelated Mega Man like beat! ... I dont know how to talk about music 😅 it's one story telling medium I dont even know the basics of the skills it takes to create it.

I'm so glad you liked it! I don't have anything else with this character (maybe I should!) but I have an eBook of 30 short stories set to release this year! This short reminds me a lot of the show Quantum Leap~

I've never seen that, but some family members used to love it so I know a bit about it. Your take on the concept is cooler! :p

I love turn based RPGs! My favorite battle system of all time is Grandia's. I don't understand how so few games after it came out expanded on its combat. I can only think of one other game that tried it. My dream system is to take Grandia's wholesale, and then add in Earthbound's rolling health system. I think the combo of those would make very frantic and fun combat :)
I've played a little bit of Grandia, it was a friend of mine's favorite as well, I don't remember the combat system much I'm afraid, perhaps it's time for another playthrough! I do love the Earthbound series~

I LOVE Ape Escape! Have you ever played Pumped and Primed? It's both my favorite Ape Escape game and favorite party game! Incredibly underrated. Omg, I wrote this as I was writing, you haven't played 2 and 3?? They are just as good as 1!

Cave Story seems not to get much love anymore :( Oh yeah, I love Platinum Games but, you know, I've only played like the first two levels of that game 😅 I LOVED the opening level, that was incredible. But the next one didn't really capture me as much and j just dropped it. I need to pick it back up again!
