although this is only a prototype for an upcoming video, I am still happy with it's performance. If you would like a tutorial or more vids on this engine sub and comment down below!! thanks!
Lego single cylinder vacuum engine tutorial
มุมมอง 771หลายเดือนก่อน
this is a simple and easy single cylinder vacuum engine tutorial, if the engine isn't working, check for these things, proper valve timing, proper seal, powerful enough vacuum, and heavy enough fly wheel. Thanks! Don't forget to subscribe.
lego dual cylinder flat vacuum engine design

I created this design after wanting more torque for my vacuum engine setup that includes a clutch and 4 speed transmission. if you subscribe maybe i will drop that as well as a tutorial. thanks!!
10/12 port siren
มุมมอง 1097 หลายเดือนก่อน
this is a new siren model I designed, i made it using tinkercad. link to download the file 👉 https ://www.tinkercad.com/things/4816Eyj9zyD-1012-port-siren copy link and put the https and : together cus i cant put links normally subscribe!!!!!!!!! and like.

thanks for the tutorial, nice build 🙏
@@Speedfight_MHR70_PIAGGIO thanks
Very epic 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool
Thank you for the tutorial. You are the best.
@@nihalsripathi9395 no problem!
Cool engine 👍 Mayby try a stiffer exhauste valve spring cause it looks like your exhauste valve isn't seeling when full vaccum.
@@customproject12 thanks, ya the reason for the lack of a full seal is because of the weak rubber band, I am looking to find some springs that fit over a axel so it will work better.
@ if you have lego shocks absorber you can take theme appart and take the spring
@@customproject12 do you think the yellow ones are to strong? i would use the grey ones buy i dont have anymore
@@ElijahCoteif you don't compresse them to much, i think it's fine. Try it you are gonna see if it works better
@@customproject12 i will see
Also very nice engine i love ur vids.😊
Thanks so much!!
Can you make a tutorial for this. If ur busy it’s fine if u don’t.
Yes I am working on a tutorial for this engine should be out tomorrow
How far apart is your timing valve and your cylinder rotated?
they are offset by a quarter of a rotation, a 90 degree offset.
@ElijahCote so If the Piston IS rotated a quarter clockwise, the valve is fully Open/at the top?
@@Retikulum01 so the valve is basically fully open as the cylinder reaches the top, but due to the cranks being different sizes the valve starts to close right before the cylinder reaches the top.
@ElijahCote oh ok thank you
I built your engine and it’s very nice, but how do i start or use it.
Put a vacuum up to the intake, make sure it has a good seal, than you should be able to kick start the engine by pushing the flywheel.
@ thank you
I tried to run it but its not working. is there anything I could have done wrong.
@@nihalsripathi9395 here are some things to check for, a powerful enough vacuum, is there a lot of friction with the moving parts, spin the engine to check if it can carry it’s self through a stroke and check your engine timing, it should go like this, valve opens, cylinder starts to rise because of the vacuum pressure, as it reaches the top, the valve closes, allowing for air to enter chamber and pressure goes back to normal. This makes the piston go down and the cycle restart. The flywheel carry’s the engine through the stroke
thank you i will check
A pretty solid looking engine. Good job
How did u get all of the parts?
@@Plop2500 just collecting pieces over the years
@ElijahCote ok thank U :)
Thanks is really nice
@@ShB-d5t thanks glad it is helpful
Very helpful
@@prestonperryiscoolyt glad I could help!
Bruh, that is barely moving, I can make mine (if I had enough lego pieces) go heaps faster with a better seal
yo read other comments before you comment because chances are it was already answered. the reason it is slow is because of a very weak vacuum, watch the short i posted if this engine where i am using a better vacuum.
Tell me how please?
Wdym, how to build it?
@ you build it soo can you tell me how to build it?
@@ShB-d5t yes I will post a totorial
Tutorial
@@ElijahCote okay ty but can you make it bigger please?
make support form the othere side of the flywheel
cool
Ну да. Реально круто. Из говна собрать рабочий поршневой двигатель это достойно.
@@rslaim2508 Да, это был классный проект, я делаю встроенную 4 прямо сейчас, обязательно подпишитесь на его видео!!
Try using a rubber tire around your vacuum, I do that with my 1 cylinder engine and it probably makes 10 times what that makes!
@@tjthegamer5390 yes I will try that, what is the significance in using a tire though? Just never crossed my mind why this technique is used.
@@ElijahCote propably being used as a seal. I'm not exactly sure what he is referencing, but it reckon it would make a lot of sense, taping or using the tire or some other type of sealant to make it air tight meaning more air being sucked through the engine itself
@@ElijahCote I give a much better seal on the Lego than your tape ever will.
@@tjthegamer5390 mind you this was a weak vacuum, look at the short I posted, it speaks for its self
It seals way better and holds the vacuum hose against the engine so you dont have to hold it
do more compression else it wont make any power
yes, this was run on a very weak vacuum itself, I uploaded a short where it is run on a more powerful vacuum and it had a lot mote power.
@@ElijahCote good job
@@ssssss-r8r thanks
thats cool man
sick
You might have to cut the wire shorter because it's not getting the full Voltage because of wire resistance
sounds like a dying fly
siren head ahh
went about a foot
does sam ram stand for A RAM SAM SAM A RAM SAM SAM GULI GULI GULI GULI RAM SAM SAM
Its been a year lmao
I guess I lost interest in this kind of stuff, plus I have been caught up in school. Maybe I will go back at some point.
That is a oddly thin rotor
less print time and less supports is my terminology i guess
Can you make more videos of this 5 prot
unfortunately it is very much out of commission, its pieces separated and some of them disposed of. but I am currently working on new design featuring a dual tone! it will be out soon. this time I will list the file so you have the capability of making your very own!
@@ElijahCote ok thanks!
Meh
what can I do better with my small collection of legos and not a ton of time on my hands?
Yoo i'm Malaysian i know skycab in Langkawi cable car like that thats same very insane By the way i'm TH-camr with fun lego series If you like it you can taps on my channel
Cool channel, I love your stop motions, should I make a detachable chair lift next?
cool
