For that reason alone and considering Price has notched .930+ a couple times and Vasy best year is .925 I give it to price. Any day, any time. There just isn’t a debate considering the teams, competition and the sheer fact that price has countlessly been the best player on his team every year going into the playoffs. Yes Vasy is one of the best in playoffs for his team but there’s always a toss up for best players on that team. With montreal it’s always price unanimously being the best player on his team.

Way late to this as it recently popped into my recommended but…I think Both are super talented, PrimeVsPrime wise. But it’s just ignorant to not look at what Carey price has done throughout his career and having piss poor teams throughout it. Yes he’s had some decent teams via 2014-2015 if I’m not mistaken but cmon lmao. Price won everything but a cup and has shown countless times you can only carry a team so far… if you compare stats you can see price has multiple seasons in the .930%+ and a top tier GAA, while being on mediocre teams. Vasy best season was .925%… yes he’s gross in the playoffs but so is price and price has almost identical numbers and even better ones in some categories on AHL teams compared to Vasy.
