Thank you for explaining it very clearly, i now understand it very well now how retrosynthetic analysis works.
This is amazing!
It helps me, thank you!
Bruh,Dope content.Hope you grow ,But once i heard from a wise man ,The lectures popular do not usually popular, due to blind support to already popular lectures.
Very informative lecture, it helps a lot to understand the topic. Good job!
Hello Dr Aaron, thank you very much for this informative explanation, this is in my openion the best channel explains the organic chemistry, importantly is that you explain the little details the makes me understand how the reaction will happen and why such conditions and reagents are used, i am a master student now in Europe and along my whole career no one had this information, thank you
Very well explained and illustrated! 🎉 😊
Amazing video, thank you!
excellent video thanks a lot
Please the writing is not bold, is not clear, the camera should be close
gotta ask you all something, do please excuse my question but for all i know that when you oxidate ketone you have carboxylic acids not alcohols. actually you get ketones or aldehydes when you oxidate alcohols not reduce it. Orrr is this because everything is in reverse?
The special "hollow" arrows are called retrosynthetic arrows and they represent a reversed action when planning a synthesis. "Normal" arrows in a reaction indicate "makes" or "goes to" whereas "retrosynthetic" arrows are read as "comes from." So, using a normal arrow an alcohol "goes to" a ketone in an oxidation whereas using a retrosynthetic arrow a ketone "comes from" an alcohol via oxidation. Hope that helps!
this is a great presentation.
Your lecture is too good...keep it up👍
Really like how you present the materials. Wishing that university lecturers could do the same thing
Thak you so much for this video!! It cleared up so many questions I had
very practical and useful information, is way better than my notes I get from class on the topic. Thank you
that is really helpful thanks

What an awesome channel
Hello Dr. Aaron, I have a question regarding the alkene halogenation using Br2 in your example @2:50. Your diagram shows that the two final Br molecules that attach do so in a syn fashion, but isn't this reaction a trans or anti addition so the Br molecules should be shown differently, thank you
Hello! The mechanism for halogenation enforces anti addition of the two bromine atoms, however the product shown @ 2:50 is drawn using "ordinary" lines to depict covalent bonds. Because it does not use "dash-wedge" bonds nor Fischer projection the drawing does not convey any stereochemical information. Swapping the position of the bromine attached to the left carbon with either of the two methyl groups would actually represent the exact same structure, because the structure (using "ordinary" lines) does not depict any specific arrangement of atoms in 3D space. Also, keep in mind that the product can (and will) undergo free rotation, which allows the two bromine atoms to adopt positions that are "cis" or "trans" to each other. BTW, in this specific example, no new chiral centers are formed. Even if "dash-wedge" bonds had been used they would not add any additional information; when fewer than two new chiral centers are formed, we cannot tell whether a reaction was syn or anti stereoselective. Attributing spatial information to structures that use only "ordinary" lines to depict covalent bonds is a common mistake! Just because the bonds are pointing in the same direction (up in this case) doesn't mean they are actually cis to each other. As an exercise, draw a skeletal structure of 1,2-dibromocyclohexane using only "ordinary" lines. The structure will look like the two bromine atoms are "cis" to each other, but in reality the drawing could be representing either the cis or trans isomer. I hope this helps!

Thanks
Sir Reactions of heterocycles please!its request made a video on it .i need it badly
Thanks
From which book these examples is??
Hello! The examples in the video are not from a book. I created the examples for use in my organic chemistry classes and then also used them here.
@@LOCStudios Great job! well done
Thank you!
Very structured, clear and concise. Thanks!
What an excellent video, thanks a lot!
Thank you so muchh
Nice explanation . Do you videos for both physical and organic spectroscopy ?
I don't know how this channel doesn't have more views! This is by far the most clearest explanation I have heard.. Thank you! Highly appreciate your efforts
Great video! Really helpful
Thanks! Let us know if you have other chemistry concepts you'd like us to explain!
