Are you selling them
@@georgemcduffie6144 One I sold last year, the other I am hoarding 😆
Very nice mystery box haul! By the looks of that track work, looks you have the makings of a fantastic model railroad!
@@clearlycaribbeanreb2895 Thank you! As many railroads go, it is a work in progress.
Awesome, congratulations!
I was shocked I got the Amtrak turbo train set plus all the goodies
@@markdiehl1963 that is an impressive haul! Have fun running your train
The coal hopper is for a private/electric company owner.
Exact same mystery box received here. 😂 either way, still a good haul.
What a great deal you have!
I agree! Not too bad for playing chance on what you’ll get
Nice haul- i just ordered a Rapido FA-1/FB-1 combo on sale for over $550 😆 You got a really good deal!
Hi! Just wondering why u guys don’t invest in a camera tri pod ? U can afford to spend x amount of money on trains but not on a camera tri pod !!!
Hello! That’s a great idea for the Christmas list, I appreciate the suggestion.
Tri pod money is money that is better spent on more trains
That’s true? Money well spent
GLFX GULF POWER CO.
wow lucky nice i got a single fa1 in cn in mine
Yes, my first Rapido purchase too! The mystery box is a cool program
you should run motor swapped class you have less restrictions on your build and you can have good build that you can run your car for 2 to 3 years with that build that you can make new friends out there to run with
Great video Tim! Can't wait to see a win soon!
You and me both! Thanks Travis
Great video
Quadajet.
Would u sell the round back?
Just ran my first bump n run at Berlin Raceway this year. I'm definitely thinking about going to Wexford next year
Awesome! Berlin is different being on pavement. Wexford is a big event and I highly recommend attending Friday and Saturday
@WahlRacing it was very different. Especially because they threw down oil dry on the track, and it was raining
Nice wagon when does the derby season start up there in Michigan
End of April is the first one, I usually don't make many shows until July.
Congratulations on 2nd 🎉a better carb and dizzy will get you to the #1 spot
Yes it will! I'm planning to try an old school Rochester 2-BBL on the next run.
What kind of carb are you using bud
Largest hole fits a full size half ton dodge truck
Cool! Where do you get those centers?
I think these were NLR centers. Several derby supply outfits make them these days.
@@WahlRacing, Ok, thank you!
throw carb away advance timing
No get rid of the carburetor get efi instead that is what I use
>temporary. Yeah, no its not. You should be reported to a health department in whatever forsaken snowy wasteland you live in. I hope like christ you dont actually give this to friends, family, or even strangers. What an unsanitary shit show.
I'll always subscribe to Michigan derby guys
It’s not the motor being tired causing it to run rough.. I love my high mileage tired LS motors.. but that carb’s idle circuit is super lean and/or the accelerator pump is not functioning. I’m saying a combination of the both. It’s got plenty of jet, you can see black smoke when you’re on it… but that carb needs some smaller bleeds and a new/bigger accelerator pump and squirter. And a starter switch separate from the fire/ignition switch to get it spinning fast enough before you throw the fire to it.. helps with advanced timing
Neat ideas here! I’ll have to give those a try with that carb and ignition setup. Heat of the moment I’d have to remember to turn it (off) before cranking
@@WahlRacingyeah off idle hesitation or stumble is almost always too much air causing it to be too lean.. whether is too small of accelerator pump/nozzle squirt, too large of air bleeds, or a large vacuum leak (square bore to spread bore carb adapters can cause this a lot).. the 2nd issue is timing but a lot of the time that dead miss is fuel/air.. as far as the switches, it is a learning curve but being able to turn the fire off and throw it to it while it’s spinning can help a lot with hot starts and clearing junk out.
To pull it down take n jack the car up pull both front wheels put some big wooden blocks under the frame where iT bent chain the back down good n tight take a winch n snatch block to pull the fame down it's easy to do done it many times on my cars
It runs a little rough but still held it's own. Keep up the videos 👍 good job.
Thank you! This engine is mostly spare parts off the shelf with gaskets changed. I really need to build something fresh to set up for the demo events.
@@WahlRacing I run compacts. I Prefer Toyota's I'm still trying to figure out how to hard nose a Camry all of our shows are stock going to try running a few in New Hampshire and Vermont. Maine is behind the times. They pretty much still use R&R productions rules. Ev thing stock no mud or snow tires. It's not as much fun as it used to be
@@FrankKnapp-u6o ahh, that sounds like a good class! A lot of folks say “they don’t bend and smash like they used to”. A true bonestock class will make that happen
@@WahlRacing it's fun cuz you don't have to put a lot of money in them I move my tank and batt loop my trans lines and send em. I use the back until the struts are almost blown out and dangling by then there usually isn't many cars left so I take them head on and shut them down quick. But lately I've been having bad luck people have started to figure out what I do and they target me from the get go. It is what it is but four or five on one isn't much fun. Time to go outta town..
@@FrankKnapp-u6ohard nosing a Camry is easy
That starter is screaming to be shimmed and timing Is a tad to far advanced bump dist back a degree or two it'll start alot smoother. Always fun seeing different builds up close in different states to see the build differences
Good observation! I’m impressed folks can diagnose just hearing it. This engine is 80% spare parts so it’s far from perfect 😬 Thanks for watching!

I lived there
So cool to get a peek behind the scenes! Crazy how much a good chain and tree can get a derby car back in running order! Great video, Tim!
love it!
That was boring
Only two cars came correct with the tire selection for the conditions of the track and can move freely about the track think about it it's crazy to put all the time and effort into it and not have multiple junk yard tires at your selection and that includes sizes but what do I know it's just a opinion
did the white car get second?
this isn't figure 8 racing. look 3 Hr figure 8
someone give em mud tires!
This is my home town!!!!!!!!
If you wanna see baggin, go to mayhem. Fairs shows dont mean jack.
That looks like the way you use to drive down Passolt Street!
Not a bad derby. I'm not a huge fan of UMS by any means and I do not go to any of their shows at all anymore. Heard that drivers are treated very poorly especially at the winterfest in Hale this past January.
Sounds like there is plenty of sand clogging up all your lady parts 😉
great aggressive driving by everyone. i think i saw four wide racing at some points.
good heat but seems ring is a bit to big that that amount of cars,,
Getting ready to video-record a demo-derby tomorrow, so I've been looking at various demo-derby videos on youtube, just to see how it's done. Question: what are the, er, "engine horns" I've seen on all the cars at various derbies, that is, the twin pipes coming up out of the engines. Exhaust pipes? Just curious, they're obviously not stock, but are they par-for-the-course at demo derbies? If so, why?
they were only door hits bc the guy was hitting the brakes. drivers do it so they can get the other guy dqed.
CAR 502 IS A SAND BAGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF U DONT WANT TO BANG THEN STAY IN THE KITCHENJ ENOUGH SAID
Love the videos please place camera in middle tho
