Singing տնեն իլար (tnen ilar) խիո խիո (khio khio), a love song and women’s work song from the Vaspurakan region of historic Armenia. These songs were passed down from Hayrik Muradyan to Hasmik Harutunyan and now to us in Los Angeles. Thank you to Avo John and crew (Daniel Matsumoto, Robin Wang, Bryce Ferendo, Caleb Ford and Bita Arefnia) for capturing this special improvised moment.
