Doesn't the bible say you know a man by the fruits of his labour? Yet paul in the Bible doesn't let women preach for no explained reason and millions of chrisitans his words today to condem women who want to preach the word of God. Chrisitans everywhere are agaisnt women working and believe only men should have leadership over women. Why? there was no reason given so we are to assume the bible just deems women inferior because of the way she was born. You believe bible is not sexist because it doesn't affect you. Probably you are truly blind to all the injustices against women that happen in the bible. When you are a man it is easy to ignore all those verses about menstruating woman making stuff unclean by sitting on it. Sacrificing birds after mebstruation, being unclean after childbirth. Did you know, that in Russian Orthodox church woman on her period is banned from entering the church. All this hideous discrimination of women and girls you hide behind one sentence: "we have different roles". Different roles like cooking for Christ and a bunch of men and then getting scolded for being too focused on material stuff. Or washing his legs with own hair. Or sitting with Jesus showing him that hecis special, smart, interesting wile being quite and submissive. This is called emotional labour, something that every man expects from a woman as given. Then there are multiple stories in the Old Testament where father offers virgin daughters to be gang-raped by mob to save a couple of strangers. I know the bible better than average. And I'm going to give you a list of examples of the bible being sexist and misogynous. 1. The bible blames women for the death of John the Baptist, not Herod. 2. The bible blames Lots' daughters for raping him. 3. The bible blames Jesus' mother for inducing him, against his will, to produce more drinks (wine) for the party drunks. 4. The bible blames Tamar for deceiving Jesse into having sex with her. 5. Lot admonishes the mob for their wickedness, and offers his two virgin daughters to the mob so that they could gang-bang them and save the two strangers (angels). 6. The bible blames Sapphire, Ananias' wife, for agreeing to keep for themselves some of the money they got from selling their property. In this story, we have, not just sexism, but also, extortion, communism, and murder. 7. The bible blames Delilah for betraying Samson. 8. The bible blames Sarah for offering to let Abram impregnate one of his "slaves", Agar. 9. In most other mentions of women in the bible, they are usually described as prostitutes. 10. The one story where the bible could have been nice to women, was when Rehab (which by the way, the name apparently means "monster"), the "prostitute" who help the Jewish army spies hide. Far from being nice to the HERO of the story, the bible describes her as "a prostitute". Why not just say "Rehab, the woman who helped conquer Jericho"? The Bible isn't just sexist, it clearly is misogynous as well, and it does an excellent job at making you believe lies and fantasies.
