How To Get A Construction Job - If That Is What You Want
onlinewithrich.com How To Get A Construction Job
There a lots of ways to get a construction job. It really depends on what you are really looking for. If you asking how to get a construction job, and it is just ANY job in construction that you are after then just walk onto as many construction sites you find and apply.Using the internet as a resource you may want to try searching for terms like construction jobs in San Diego, or construction jobs in Florida. Obviously you would change the area to the proper location, but you get the idea.
However if you want to find a construction job in a related field then you need to be more specific in your search. Perhaps you are seeking a construction management position, or maybe an inspection job with the local code enforcement agency. Then you will need either more training and experience, or at least an introduction to the right people.
However no matter what specific area you are seeking to enter, the more specific your search the better the results you will get. It may not be enough to simply search for how to get a construction job if you really want more than just a job.

    There’s only an Associates in my area for Construction Management. I have real world experience (and am a welder) though. I’m your professional outlook, does the industry respect experience, an Associates or a Bachelors significantly differently? Would an Associates be a good thing to have, or would it be non-competitive next to those with a Bachelors and I should just continue to get experience instead?

    • @emonkus
      @emonkus 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      chrislovesannick my dad did not go to college and he started by working for a decent sized construction company for many years until he got an opportunity to sell furniture. In 2008 the economy wasn’t good enough to sell furniture anymore so he went back to working for the small company but he wasn’t making enough money just working for them. So he used his many years experience and started his own company. He’s had up to 5 workers for his company at a time but right now he has 1, and he still works for the other company on the side. So whenever his business got slow he’d have another job from the other company. I’m not sure if that really answers your question because from what it sounds like you’d prefer to be in charge rather than having to work the jobs yourself. But anyways it’s possible to start your own company without a degree but I’d definitely recommend finishing out college, it will give you many more opportunities and it will be less of a risk to start a company if you have your degree. Hope this helped, sorry it was so long. :) -a senior in high school
