One Afternoon in Matsumoto, Japan
During our last trip to mainland Japan, we took a quick train ride into Matsumoto! We didn't have a lot of time, but we still got to spend one afternoon in Matsumoto, and it was amazing. The city is very well laid out and easy to walk so we were able to see so many fun tourist attractions and try lots of fun things in a very short amount of time. So, if you are looking for some fun ideas and places to visit in Matsumoto then check out this video.

    Hey, thanks for the info here. Would you mind sharing how much you paid per square meter in the end? Did you have import duties to pay? thanks

    • @Jiujitsuchamploo
      @Jiujitsuchamploo หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for the comment. Import duties really can vary depending on where you are and how it was marked for shipping. This time the import duties were like $150, which isn’t bad, but I have heard of people paying much more if the company they used goes about it differently. For the mats themselves, we paid around $700 for 20x20 feet of mats. The rest of what we paid was shipping and import duties, which will change based on where you are located obviously. Hope this helps!

    What is choking the second artery? The foot that comes over?

    • @Jiujitsuchamploo
      @Jiujitsuchamploo 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hand that is holding the lapel does most of the choking. Your leg will cradle their head and apply the pressure as you kick through. But the lapel across the neck will be what’s finishing the choke.

    • @Jiujitsuchamploo

      That can be a grey area for some refs. It’s set up like an ankle lock but some referees could see it as a toe hold. We all know that risking a DQ because the ref doesn’t agree with you isn’t worth it. I teach it to all levels and tell my students to be mindful of their rule set before deciding to use it.

    When I take the back I will go for a rear triangle first. If it doesn't work, fall back to vanilla triangle. Instead of the normal armbar you can go for the type of armbar you normally hit from the straight jacket position. Step on his arm with your left leg, then lift his head a bit so you get your right leg UNDER his head and put the foot of your right leg on his shoulder. As you fall back you step with your left foot on top of your right foot to secure it in place - this is pretty strong. If he still turns into you he will run straight into a triangle.

    Oss coach. You seem to have unique videos where you say, "I want to see more people use this" U made that same statement in your lat ripper video. So, with your unique approach and videos, is it possible to put someone in a bodylock while in closed guard? Is that a feasible move to break the closed guard? Thanks

    • @Jiujitsuchamploo
      @Jiujitsuchamploo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate the comment, I mean it when I say I want more people to use these techniques. Haha I can’t say that I have used the body lock to pass in a fully close guard. If you want to stay low and tight like that you could try a knee cut or São Paulo pass or use your elbow to try to trap their leg to the floor. Those are all solid and tight passes. Hope that helps!

    What do suggest for an Ezekiel for someone with big forearms? I’ve basically had to ditch it

    • @Jiujitsuchamploo
      @Jiujitsuchamploo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The gi adds extra leverage for an Ezekiel so you can definitely get good pressure there. But with larger forearms it can definitely be tough to get your arm under the chin. If you look at my other full video you will see another choke I show on there that might help with that. If the chin stays in the way it might be a crank/crush more than a choke. But you will definitely get the pressure needed to finish.
