DOUBLE FEATURE As Above/So Below 2014 and Don't Look Down 2008
So these two movies take a lot of references from Dante's Inferno and Paradiso respectively and I felt it worth analyzing how the elements of those two works play out in the depictions of two powerful women in the film: Scarlett (As Above/So Below) and Elvira (Don't Look Down).
In doing so, you'll see the overall archaic feminine power that permeates through the narrative of the two stories. Especially since the male counterparts George (As Above/So Below) and Eloy are essentially depicting Dante in both the Inferno and Paradiso stages of the journey.
That's why it was worth doing a Double Feature for this review.
And both these movies are awesome ;-)
Here's more information on Don't Look Down since there are a few different movie titles out there with that name. I don't want you to get lost finding trivia about this precious gem.

These questions are what I explore in this 2001 Erotic Drama Fantasy film from Julio Medem. Starring the spicy Paz Vega as Lucia! This is a very personal film for me that I decided to do a review on. 18 years after I saw this film in theaters and it still bears the weight of realism that I felt from that first viewing. It's still quite a thrill watching a star wh...

"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. The first Kong movie that I can actually say I like (although I actually do LOVE it). The 2nd Monsterverse movie in the franchise gave the big Ape Titan it's much needed appeal as a God who serves as a guardian protecting the spirits within the natural world. Not a single King Kong movie ever impressed me before this entry came along...and that says ALOT!!! And John Goodman rocks in this film. ...

I have a very high minded opinion of the 2014 Godzilla movie. And my nostalgia for seeing this in the theaters 10 years ago justifies that. Fun Fact: French Music composer Alexandre Desplat who worked on this film has had quite a rich and eclectic career, working on scores for movies from Wes Anderson and Guillermo del Toro. AND he also scored the music for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Him scor...

Oh Crank is one that's been on my mental watchlist for a while now. LOL, the trailer for the second one is berserk! He's screwing this one girl super fast because he has to keep his adrenaline high or something in order to stay alive. I'm happy to see that those movies are well loved to this day because I remember they were all the rage when I first caught the trailer for both those films. I didn't know how well they did at the box office (at least for the first one) and that's why I skipped out. I mean the second Transporter movie had some goofy moments but I still loved it as much as the other two. The scene where he does that roller coaster spin and has that crane take the bomb off the bottom of his car was SO unreal! But damn was it cleverly constructed and funny in a cartoonish way!

Thanks for pointing that out. Tbh, I was curious about why the man that Lisa was fighting with never had his face revealed in that scene. I thought that was weird.
