UCLA Homecoming Flash Mob OFFICIAL VIDEO--10/29/11
At UCLA's 2011 Homecoming game vs. Cal on 10/29, USAC (Student Government) President and General Representative 1 organized a flash mob! Almost 1,000 students--including the marching band, spirit squad, rally committee, and even the Bruin Bear--surprised the 80,000 fans in attendance by dancing to Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" at the 3rd Quarter Break. Many of the high school bands in attendance joined in as well.
The USAC Office of the President brought back homecoming this year for the first time since 2004 by way of a Carnival on campus the night before the game. The five thousand people attending the carnival were able to enjoy music, food, booths and games hosted by many student organizations, dance performances, and a speech by Chancellor Block.
The Homecoming festivities continued at the game with this incredible stadium-wide flash mob!

@TheUSCforlife This video has NOTHING to do with USC, and yet you instigated a "joke trade-off" and refuse to stop until you've had the last word. Of your seven comments, only one had any jokes. And since when do you expect Bruins not to act like butt hurt children? Maybe you should follow the good example of the rest of your trojan friends and not even bother to comment on this video. Where is the love? On a serious note, I love this video! The UCLA and high school bands look really cool!
Just wanted to stir the pot, trade some jokes and I got a bunch of butt hurt children. Yeah, we can't play in a bowl game this year. Ok, but it's better than wallowing in mediocrity. We have 41 players in the NFL. 7 are pro bowlers. You have 20 and only one is a pro bowler. Do those same accusations go for our world famous song girls, marching band or our defending nat'l champ water polo team? Or just football? We also rankhigher academically as well. Hey homie. I live in Carona Del Mar.
@hippoflamingo Yeah, a 6-7 record. You backed into a bowl game and 3 of your last 4 games you were blown out. The only bowl you deserve is the Toilet Bowl. We're on probation and still competing with the big boys as usual while you are perpetually rebuilding.

@selectivitis Ahh, name calling the instrument of those who truly lack the intelligence to express thoughts . I happily own several food service businesses and they have made me wealthy. Couldn't have done it without that M.B.A.
@TheUSCforlife @selectivitis I can see both sides of your arguement: TheUSCforlife wanted to exchange a few friendly jokes with a rival school, and naturally, selectivitis feels like he needs to defend his school. However, selectivitis needs to understand that it was a friendly bashing with no malicious intent, and TheUSCforlife should probably post rival jokes on a video of a game between USC and UCLA instead of this. Either way, can you two please take your arguement somewhere else? Thanks.
@selectivitis Hey, I own several restaurants and fast food places in the greater LA area. You can come and put your diploma to good use working for me. All you have to say is " May I take your order" and " Would you like fries with that?" Fight On! No wait, Fight OVER. All I wanted was to swap some jokes with a rival. What I got was a wannabe intellectual convinced of his own superiority. Can't wait to see what ill thought out garbage you spew. I need a good laugh.
@selectivitis The origin of that joke actually comes from the Ohio st/ Michigan rivalry. Do they make you read anything other than picture books at UCLA? Try Mark Twain, that is real satire. The reason you will always be the red head step child of LA universities is obviously that they must teach that hate is satire. We have both you and Alexandra Wallace to go by, only she wasn't stupid enough to call her asian rant satire. Numbering your feeble points, Seriously? Sophmorish and truly sad.
@selectivitis Clearly you need to look humor up in the dictionary. Your attempts at satire came off as merely a hater hating. You were however being generous with the garden plant comment. We keep our players eligible by boosters like myself paying for quality tutors. We also know how to hire top quality coaches, at least in football. A wise man once said that your character is defined by the quality of your friends and your enemies. I relish our rivalry and enjoy making jokes at your expense.
How do you get A UCLA grad off your porch? Pay them for the pizza. The dumbest student at USC flunked out and transfered to UCLA and in doing so raised the GPA of both universities. On a serious note. Love having you as our rival.
