Congrats Mr. Betts for your work. I’m coming here from listening to the great radio docu-series ‘Destination Freedom’. I’m learning so much about the history of Black America and Black culture. Thank you! ❤️🙏🏽☮️
what about Michon Peacock and tony stevens
He was skinny on this video. Sign of sarcoma cancer. 😣😣 I LOVE YOU SO MUCH GAVIN CREEL !!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
GAVIN CREEL !!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH !!! 😣🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Anyone who hates on the original stage version of Cats isn’t a real musical fan!!!
Where is this video from? Is there complete one?
Yes! You can hear the full interview at bnp.fm/BGB
My favorite broadway show
Kelly Bishop is the only one eating her lunch instead of talking…
There never was a part two? D: What I would GIVE to be able to pick Jacob Brent's brain about Cats!
Great opportunity to hear these highly talented women speak about what inspired them, and their gratitude for the gifts that they received doing the work that they loved and were meant to do. Bravo!!!
They all look INCREDIBLE!! This is an absolute treat. Thank you!
When Mary Ann worked in Atlantic City 2 shows a night 6 days a week..always gave 100% i know cause i was a showroom manager..and off stage a sweetheart.
Huh?
i love them so much.
I'm a fan from Brazil! Thanks for all the entertainment! Loved this podcast.
I think Sal Mineo was also with Baayork in "The King and I" Broadway production.
This was a great listen, thanks! ❤
What a fantastic video! These lovely and talented ladies could have chatt for hours and i would be right there enjoying every minute. "A Chorus Line" is simply the best of the best. 😊
oh I love this group of lovely women! I only know Kelly Bishop and Baayork Lee. But I admire all of them. Thank you for this fascinating episode. Keep them coming!
Saw 35Mm had to click and watch

Omg!!!! Now she Broadway in one of the biggest shows from this Broadwayseason which is the Outsiders
I’ve been obsessed with In Trousers & Falsettos for years now and I love this video !! I’ve always headcanoned certain Will Finn characters as neurodivergent so I love to hear that it’s canon, that’s great <3
I wasn't able to find anything anywhere online (well hardly anything) about the Book Thief musical and after hours of searching I found this and am so glad!!
Got the privilege of learning from this amazing and inspiring woman! She was only my dean for a year but the knowledge she gave me will last all my life!❤❤
Royalty
Exactly. Each of these women are historic performers in their own ways. 😍
I love this show. Have seen it 4 times. My favorite show!
She still slays when it comes to beauty.
This is literally so frustrating to watch. The story is so straightforward once you realize there are two main characters. The first half is about one guy. And the second half is about his like great great (etc.) grandson. That’s why there’s two girls and two I want songs. It is definitely more of a concept album, but you’re so dismissive of the story that is literally so obvious if you even try a half-assed amount to figure it out. Like you didn’t respect this patron’s submission enough to engage with the work on its own level
Just like. You didn’t even listen to any of the narration?? It’s only a hour long and you couldn’t listen to the story that they flat out read to you at the end of each track? They tell you about the different main characters, and PRONOUNCE THE NAMES that you ostensibly only know from hearing them? That really rubs me the wrong way like I dont know if that’s a character flaw for Jes or something but literally every name was mispronounced
another hairspray vid where the black characters are paid dust! To be fair, the show itself doesn’t really do it’s black characters justice.
this is how i, a gay guy, learned that jonathan groff, one of my favourite theater guys, is gay. everything makes so much sense now. have a nice day you people
What do you mean? What makes sense now?

I was in NYC on business and got a third row center cancellation seat when all four of these ladies were in A Chorus Line. It was my first Broadway show and remains my favorite show of all times. At the Ballet is my favorite song and I had a crush on Sheila after seeing her!
.😂❤qwqqqaqaaaaaàa aaapooapà
What a great experience.
I love Ms. Kelly Bishop❣ Thank you for the interview❤
This was a fantastic video to enjoy and watch. How approachable and as dancers they are discuss aspects of the dancer routine!
I paused this episode and listened to Episode 35 as recommended. Laughed when Emma said why she loves drags queens so much, spot on! Talk about fate coming along with the right production of CATS at the right time! What a journey!! I saw The Jellicle Ball 2 days after opening night and was still thinking about it weeks later, I just had to get another ticket. Very excited to see how everyone has settled into their roles! Emma as Shimble was wonderful, and she's right, the wig is everything!!
i love emma so much!!! i love her ever since willy wonka on broadway, i was so happy to find out she's in this cast
and also, i love that they lean in into the rum tum tugger and mistofelees lore!! like yesss!!! that's the right thing to do!!!
he's the most HOTTEST tugger that i've ever seen like my godddd
OHMIGOSH!! Groffsauce! That is so cute!! All the love to our Batshit crazy king, George The Third.❤❤❤
Okay….i love this discussion…good energy and thorough….but i would definitely consider the sequel had 3 incarnations. After Annie 2 bombed they did major rewriting and launched the Annie Warbucks tour…Annie Warbucks 1.0 if you will. New Annie and the songs and characters and libretto was very different than the final off bway version. The Patterson family, the family that takes Annie in when she runs away was black and it worked much better that way. The off bway version had a fraction of the budget it had on tour and the cast was considerably smaller….and The Patterson family was white, which i always thought was a huge shame. And fun fact….Annie Warbucks introduces a new orphan, Peaches and the original actress on the tour was none other than a young Christina Milian. Also i kind of expected a mention of the infamous Annie Warbucks performance at the Thanksgiving parade that featured a freezing Kathryn Zaremba….Kathryn was spectacular and a favorite of Martin’s. She was TINY and Harve was so tall. They had great chemistry.
Never knew there were any sequels made for the musical. Odd choice to continue a story that has such a nice end already.
justice for passion!
Everything is similar to baseball, to theater, to family. Life is a team effort, you can go it alone but it's more enjoyable when accompanied.
