Ngl I think a half persona half hotline Miami game could really work in concept especially with the original story I think that would’ve been awesome really wish that it worked out in the end

Persona 5 and Hotline Miami are two games that have completely different artstyles and directions and should never mix

Funny enough, as of recent , someone basically made a fully playabe hotline miami 2 campaign, with multiple endings, of midnight animal (released on september 28th, 2023) of the same subtitle "Love and Forgetting". and its an actually decent recreation of the game of what I have seen of Midnight Animal (minus the custom things like the screen shakes and effects in the original game). And, to me, it can probably be what Midnight Animal could have been. There are slight visual novel/persona 5 elements in the campaign, but those are completely optional and aren't very long. Writings not half bad either. It even has its own little achievements programmed into the mod, one of them being called "Exegesis". I'd seriously suggest people to go and play it at least once, twice or even a few times if you wanna get all endings (six in total).

The Itch link in the description seems to not work anymore. Is there any other way to play those builds?

Honestly, I kinda love the game, I never played it but when I see its gameplay its damn good. Hotline Miami is a good game but good thing Midnight Animals has some aesthetic type of vibe

The audio mixing came out wrong but PLEASE never take this video down, I've had it bookmarked for a while just to revisit it here and there to remind myself of the midnight animal times... used to be a big fan and contributor back then so please keep this up as a memorial of sorts.

I really wish yan could have finished this game as a 'eff you' to the haters, its his game and it was free so its his choice whatever he wanted to do with it, and i love both the hotline miami aesthetic as well as anime so i dont mind, it would have been really cool to play this game, yan if you are reading this comment, please resume work on this project and finish it , eff the haters, show them whos boss buddy 👍

I listened to this video when I was in High School about 6 years ago. Saved it to my watch later, YT recommended it to me again today. Nice piece, was nice to listen to it again. Especially given their departure as Daft Punk :( Nonetheless, their music never dies and will live on :)

i did art for the early, EARLY builds of the game in 2015 lol, i did like a few random masks that were fucked up in the same way as tony in HM2 and he hit me up to ask for more. had fun making em, but was a stupid kid who was self entitled with my shit, and got pissed when things got changed without my knowledge. iirc a couple of the masks are still in the files of some of the builds out there

"Midnight Animal takes place in 2015, two decades after the events of HM2" Dumb question, but didn't the ending of HM2 ended with Russia obliterating Miami? It seems kinda hard doing a sequell (or fan sequell in this case) without the cast of the game because, you know...they're dead...

I played Yugioh in the late 90s and early 2000s, since I made cards based off of the French manga. Because the manga came out before the game, that's why there was poor integration of the rules. The story invented the cards, and only later were official versions of the game and cards made BASED on the manga/show.

I really hope you make more well edited videos like this. You really seem to have a knack for it. Would love to watch more
