Digitone II into the modular FX rack is delightful.

The Digitone II is off-screen, but I run it into the Boredbrain Xcelon mixer from the patch bay and use send/returns to layer in the effects. The sequence was keyed in prior to recording into the KeyStep Pro.

Nice, I’ve been on the fence because some of the initial demos and sounds coming out were a bit thin sounding to me. But I think the true potential of DN2 is coming out as more people get their hands on it / learn it
It can be pushed even farther than the original, thanks to a better master drive circuit and the compressor with all the routing options.

Whats the source of the hats at about 4:16 ?
The ultra-perc has a noise oscillator with filter and decay control, so I suspect that’s part of what you’re hearing. The other is likely from the sample drum (more of a trad 909 closed hat). Then the 909ride comes in around then too.
