It seems a few of the devs who worked on ~Assassin's Creed Valhalla~ are followers of ~Vikings~ lore as well an unsurprising revelation. When different forms of media retell similar stories, there is bound to be crossover. I,...

@MichaelTheRunner-i9g It's not a main or side quest. It's a Mystery. There are several world events called "Mysteries" in the game where all sorts of random things can happen. Some involve fights, others are puzzles, sometimes you listen to someone tell a story....This one was a flyting (like a medieval rap battle) with a twist: every line the players have to take a drink. The flyting world mysteries also increae your charisma stat if you win. And you can bet up to 200 pieces of silver. I made a lot of money from them. There are flyters in all the major cities and some small towns.
He never lost control to Loki. He embraced Loki as part of his own self.
@@juanmarino4593 Basim didn't know about Loki at this point. He figures that out later. The Piece of Eden triggered repressed memories that made him act on instinct in the likeness of a personality from his past. He says he has seen this room before. But he doesn't understand why. He doesn't walk away from this embracing a new identity. That identity begins to get more powerful within his subconscious, but he doesn't understand it yet. He embraces Loki later.
@@juanmarino4593 also, there is a character limit on titles. "Lost control" is a way to summarize a more nuanced situation for the sake of the video. It would be hard to fit my above comment into a title.

@thenovicewhispers that would be awesome for you 😎
In the synthesis ending, it shows everyone and the reapers living in harmony.
The last person I responded to deleted their comment regarding this. First, thanks for watching. The title is referring to the way I role play the game. While the synthesis ending shows everyone being happy, I don't choose it for several reasons. Some decisions I make in rpgs are because I believe in them, while others are because I think that's what the character would do. From what I observed, Harbinger gave Shepard a lot of PTSD, and even managed to kill him once. Shepard gets brought back to life against his will to face that monster again. Granted, Shepard seemed glad to be alive. At the same time though, in my playthrough he struggles with the idea that he could just be a machine programmed to think he's Shepard. Shepard also lost several friends and was betrayed by people who Harbinger indoctrinated. The Machine Intelligence's words echoed Saren's within the Catalyst Chamber. Shepard spoke with Leviathan and was told the Machine Intelligence betrayed organics before. It "protected" the Leviathans by harvesting them and creating the first Reaper. To me, the Machine Intelligence and Harbinger are almost indistinguishable. Harbinger is the first Reaper. So in my view, my paragade, infiltrator, cynical Shepard would not trust the Machine Intelligence. Even if synthesis worked, Shepard has no way of knowing that the solution will be permanent. Suddenly friendly Reapers would be rebuilding cities based on a solution their creator proposed. What if it was a trick to convince Shepard to sacrifice his life out of an inability to choose a more definitive and consequential measure? This is the man who destroyed an entire inhabited solar system to simply delay the Reaper advance. Trillions of lives are on his hands and conscience. My version of Shepard would not take even the slightest risk of the Reapers continuing to exist, especially after losing an entire platoon just to make it through London, being unsure whether the Normandy crew are safe, and watching Anderson die (my Shepard is an Akuze survivor and an orphan; so his only parental figure bled out just moments prior) all because of this Machine Intelligence. Yes, the Machine Intelligence says synthetics will be rebuilt and conflict will resume. But the Machine Intelligence doesn't know that for sure, and Shepard's responsibility is to deal with the Reaper threat, not any and all future threats against civilization. Someone else will have to fight that war. He can do something now, however, and stop this particular threat permanently. In my headcanon, Shepard would have remembered this confrontation with Saren. It doesn't matter to me necessarily what happens at the end, because Shepard doesn't know what happens. I chose based off his past trauma, personality, and who he trusts. He does not trust the Machine Intelligence who created his nemesis.
Nah bro here he didn't
@@nikolaypendarov5795 The device rotating around him houses memory seals, and Basim says the chamber looks familiar because he has been somewhere similar in his previous life. I think in his subconscious Loki began to awaken within him.
not really secret.
The website has been cancelled.
What an idiot. Saren was indoctrinated. He was under Reaper control regardless of his fusion with synthetics. Synthesis ending was about truly about fusion without Reaper Control. Getting the best of both worlds. No more war between organics and synthetics. Transcending mortality and becoming more. It's right there in the ending.
I didn't have enough assurance that Shepard wouldn't become indoctrinated himself. The youngest living Reaper indoctrinated a Spectre agent with much more experience than Shepard. Shepard was up against Harbinger, the oldest Reaper in existence. I make decisions based on the information the character has, not the information I as the player have. I also choose based on my character's personality and past battle scars/experiences. My Shepard was lied to, betrayed, and almost assassinated several times. He lost a lot of friendships and bonds of trust because of Harbinger's deception. Regardless of what actually happens in the Synthesis Ending, my Shepard cannot see the future. Therefore, he chose the option with the least risk and killed Harbinger. Will synthetics come back? Maybe. But the Machine Intelligence has no way of knowing that for sure, and Shepard has no reason to trust something that has been trying to kill him (and in fact did kill him once already) for the past few years now. I try to get in the mind of the character I'm playing as in an RPG. I choose how I think they would respond to a situation, even if I as the player disagree. The title of this short is not meant necessarily to say that the Synthesis Ending is a bad choice. It is simply meant to explain why I, personally, believe that my version of Shepard would not choose it. But if that makes me or him an idiot, so be it. Thanks for watching anyway.

Bruh dis ain’t no secret
So you cannot save the boy even if you reply bad?
I don't know. I assume that you can't because this boy's death is crucial to Shepard's mental state throughout the story. He has nightmares about him burning alive as you reach milestones in the war. Before the final battle, Shepard sees a mirror image of himself and the boy burning alive as they embrace and smile forebodingly at him.

The fact that the Harbinger's awesome voice does not even appear im ME3 after the massive buildup in the second game is unforgivable. Awesome rivalry wasted.
400 hours and a million playthroughs im still learning something new about this masterpiece everyday
Unfortunately Legion consigned himself to death when he said "you're more like us than we thought". Not because that's bad but because it implies the Geth were determined not to use reaper tech to attain unity, so why did Legion do a 180 after his captivity by the reapers and INSIST on using reaper code to ascend geth to true individual AI? It felt Antithetical to what Legion actually wanted, my FRIEND the real legion.
Due to new writers changing up the Geth story, making the quarians unnecessarily aggressive and trying to make the Geth sympathetic to the point that they were supposedly fully innocent. Honestly liked it better to where both sides were flawed, or not innocent. The wuarians made the Geth and eventually tried to get rid of them when they started asking those questions and due to other factors. The Geth fought back to the point it they nearly wiped the quarian race out, had flee, and would kill anyone who would approach them, be friendly or not.
You'd have to say the same thing about Mordin curing the genophage. Honestly, he should've been able to be convinced to walk away regardless of who was around.
@williamkerfoot8039 yeah except one is a logical conclusion formed on ones time with the Normandy Crew, the othee is deciding to potentially enthrall the geth

We haven't had an AC game involving Tenplars since 2015, which is pretty crazy. World War II is a historical motherlode Ubisoft hasn't touched yet. That's actually realistic. She's at least fifteen years older than him. A lot of older people call their juniors "young man" or "young lady" to show respect. Just like juniors refer to seniors as "sir" or "madam," (not as common in the U.S. these days). Plus, she's hitting on him. She won't get what she desires by calling him old.
