@@n1cK666 is it low when plugged directly into the Alesis? The click menu has a volume option. You can also adjust the volume of the headphones input with the knobs on the front - there are options for headphones/aux/master I believe

@@Imdiegodavila if you want to send click + tracks (not your full monitor mix) to the band, those ideally should be sent from the source (the multipad or metronome) directly to the PA as individual inputs. This allows the band to have either one at different volumes. If you’re sending it via your mixer, you should use the FX send.

@@erikfoxdrumsso it works in Ableton but I can’t figure out how to assign the Alesis pads to control functions in Studio One. There’s a “learn midi” function, but it’s not picking up the pads, however in detects the pads as a keyboard. Their own support team couldn’t help either so I guess I’m using Ableton or just the laptop live. 😂

Haha it can definitely be a challenge! It’s taken me a lot of practicing at home to learn to be rock solid & keep everyone grounded on the stage. The way I learn songs sets me up to be confident & the glue of a group - that way, they can always rely on me & know if they goof, they can shift right back in.

Also! Whenever’s there’s a break or mostly empty section of a song, I always keep minimal time - usually just a quarter note tap w/ my hi-hat foot. Otherwise, I’m always vocalizing the count-in or clicking sticks during a hard stop.

Hi! I haven’t had issues cycling between kits during shows. I’ll hit the pad to load the next kit, and it’s instantly there. If you’re uploading an entire setlist worth of kits via USB, it could take a couple minutes. But, once everything is loaded, I haven’t had runtime issues.

Hey, thanks! Glad you found it helpful. 1) I don’t run a stereo tracks for a few reasons, mostly because of simplicity. Having a mastered tracking panned R and the click panned L makes routing easier for the band & FOH. I use the multipad in smaller venues, where you only get a quick line check (if one at all). And, ideally, the FOH would want to mix every mono stem to their liking - having stereo (I think) would be over processing. 2) Yep, you can pair pads to play when one is triggered! Press the “Pad” button on the right side - then the “Group” option.

Yep, I can find one. I use it to run a click track, run backing tracks, send sound clips to our ears. I also set it up to cycle to the next or previous song. A couple songs have drum samples. If you watch the start of “Light It Up” you can see me hit it to start/stop my click & start the backing track.

A true gem, indeed
