Audi TT air vent removal • How to remove the interior vents on an original (Mk1, 8n) or Mk2 (8J)
Just pull, it turns out. And installation is the reverse of removal: too easy to look up a video for? Well, saves breaking something.

In 1 minute: how to remove the glove box and replace the blower motor/fan on a B6 or B7 Passat
มุมมอง 219K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Explained in a minute - and again in five - how to remove and install a blower fan on a 2005-2015 VW Passat, which is made a lot easier if you take the glove box out: for the latter there’s a trick, but for the former you’ll likely need some brute force and verbal abuse. 0:00 There's a trick to it 0:16 Quick how-to 1:28 Tools needed 2:00 Glove box removal 3:18 Blower removal 3:55 Blower install...
The easy way (without keys) to remove an aftermarket (pioneer/kenwood) car radio head unit: a How-To

Helped a lot ty
Brilliant video took me just over an hour to complete. Thought putting the new fan in would be difficult but if you just remember how it is aligned already it helps massively
👍👍
Taking the two bolts out of either end of that long piece of bracket / trim at the bottom makes it flexible and a heck of a lot easier to get the fan in and out
Thanks bbg
cheers, big EZ
Thank you!
Thank you Temazepamania, fab video / instructions. Great to have the commentary. Losing the heater a week before Christmas was pretty grizzly, so this video gave the confidence to give it a go. My issue was the regulator/resistor which had corroded. It is possible to buy a replacement for that so happy days. Plenty of helpful advice below about getting the blower back under dashboard, but I was still there over an hour on just that. The verbal abuse did it in the end....
Thanks for the video, you did probably saved me some time. Good production as well
Amazing been struggling for 2 hours
I've snapped the pull down tab. Any suggestions on how to get it loose?
Great video! One thing I might add that made my installtion easier was removing the T15 screw that holds the duct for the footwell vent. It can be seen at 1:20, just to the right of the blower motor housing, almost in the center of the frame. Taking this out allows the footwell duct to move out of the way so that it does not snag on the blower motor as you put it back in.
thank you and your video helped me big time today😎
This is like what TH-cam was when it first started. Keeping the dream alive!
Love you for this
I am your 1k like🎉
Looks like you are, you Gorgeous Savage.
Thanks for the video. My wifes 2007 Passat Estates blower decided to pack in tonight. Definitely some brute force and swearing required. Oh a few snapped clips.. But hey ho.
Without saying a single word and in under a minute, god bless
Just used this video today to change my blower motor-thanks very much-it is spot on!!! 👍
I was able to fix my Skoda Yeti 1.2tsi blower by myself watching this video. Thank you so much. (In my case I didn't have to take out the glove box.)
My blowers aren't blowing at all. No noise or anything but the graphics come up on my infotainment system. Is it likely to be the motor? In which case this will fix it?
Does anyone know if this works with alpine
Great vid, thanks. Couple of notes to save extended reference to Haynes manual like I had today... 1. It's 1 T20 torx not a T15. 2. It's righty loosy, lefty tighty, at least it was on my 2010 Australian Passat. As in, turn blower clockwise to remove, anti to install. For the record: fuck brushed motors. Horrible things. May you have an easier time than I did. P.S. You probably don't even need to remove the glovebox to get this done, in hindsight. However, being able to see what is going on the first time you do it is very helpful. Awesome tip on the glovebox removal.
Perfecto!
Have been looking for a hour to find how to do this to my exact car but no one has it and yet scrolled past ur video and everything was identical to mine I’m happy
(Watching in 2024) I’m telling my kids this was GOD him self
Just spent £19.99 on Trim & Audio removal kit, wish I'd seen this 1st. Took 5 Min to do it, Oh well trim kit will come in handy one day I suppose. Cheers
Genius, as easy as that wow, big thank you.
Thank you very much for posting this, took 10 minutes to swap the blower.
Cheers mate! F*cking legend!
no worries, g
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar.
Cheers, Lionel.
GG… good guide… no nonsense!
Great video
Worked a treat thanks mate
no dramas.
👍👍
I guess I'm fucking stupid or something, but I'm glad it all worked for you, did not do shit for me.
I think you might just be stupid, Mike: my commiserations.
Wish someone would show the inside of the frame where the knife has to go. Want to understand how it disconnects from the radio itself.
Great video , i unplugged the air bag of the left hand side of the draw , no i have an airbag light on the dash 🤦🏻♂️ !! Any idea on how to get ride of that ?! Thanks
Yeah, don't do that: disconnect the battery, plug the connector back in, wait 15 minutes, connect the battery.
The "jiggery pokery" is what I was looking for. Thank you 😊
Thanks for this! Is this how to access the parking sensor buzzer too? On the RHD models
I tried to do it, and it wont go off. Any suggestions?
Pull harder, Ivan.
@@juankerr Thanks I did it! But middle air vents Are not blowing. You know what should be problem? Just middle ones .
Glad I saw this thank you
Thanks for your post. I lost the special tool I received from Crutchfield several months ago and, after searching the house and garage for days, I finally thought to check TH-cam and came across your video. The old butter knife trick slipped my mind ages ago and this brought it back. Much appreciated!
Nice shot of the latch mechanism. NOT. Nice shot of your arm. Pfffft.
My pleasure, Jeremy: thanks for your comment and encouragement. Smooches, Juan
Nice I don’t know where my keys went 😂
Good guy temazepamania: Posts youtube without 1 hour long backstory and just shows how to do it instead.
Thanks dear for this video its help me to change my passat 2013 1.6 blower
Great video. It was a great help with fixing my car. Only observation is I think you are rotating fan assembly in wrong direction. It’s clockwise to loosen and remove, anti clockwise to tighten. It works easier that way and the shape of the plastic tabs is clearly tapered for this direction. I definitely fits easier this way,
I concur, Jim; must have still been a bit pissed up when I did the VO.
Great, giving new thieves the idea
the sooner you get to it, the sooner we get through it! thumbs up!
Thank you for your support, Mr Arizona.
This saves me so much time! Fan was only running on 3 and 4 so guessed resistor bank. Should have just changed it but wanted to check the fan was free running and no issuers. This guide and the slot trick worked perfectly. Thanks for putting it together!
