    I absolutely LOVE ‘Sitton Watchet’ - genius! Fancied a Brunel myself but my line is end to end and very short. Too much crashing potential.

    Hi Ian. I came across your TH-cam site as I'm on the search for an Ian who makes miniature steam engines! I'm trying to piece together something from the past involving my dad who was a massive steam enthusiast. Did you used to be connected to Reading University in any way? Sorry this is a public comment, but I can't find any other way of messaging on youTube! Best wishes, Sue Palmer

    Well, this brings back memories but not very good ones regarding Brambleton. I lived in what was the National Children's Home, the oval, Harpenden between 1968 and 1973. located a long side Brambleton. When I found out about the club I was really excited about the prospect of possibly joining only to have my hopes dashed when I was informed youngsters from the home were not welcome.

    Ahhh an engines first steam up. Always a joyous occasion. When I steam my Brunel up for the first time on some blocks it terrified me cause I had no idea what I was doing and it almost shook away the blocks from underneath

      I had no idea just how wide angled the lens is and its a manual loco so I had to stay with it. Will do it again with a remote control loco.

    • @sittonwatchet

      I agree. They should film this when the place is closed and all those people aren't milling around. Also, the operator needs to find a chair and sit the F down.

    Here’s a question. How is Wallace able to make the armchair go?

    • @greatwesternproductions2857
      @greatwesternproductions2857 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe a section of the arm lifts up, a leaver is reveled and that leaver operates the chair😂😂. Of course in real life it's probably a motor and a handheld control unit☺.

    • @cameronknapp7315
      @cameronknapp7315 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The cars 🚗 are an arm chair and a bathtub. Did Wallace make them into rolling stock? If he did, that is clever being able to make anything it trains 🚞 . If I could do that I would be delighted. Making things into trains 🚆 . I love trains 🚆 , so if I had the power to make things into trains 🚂 I would be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
