Making a forced air wood furnace to melt Aluminium and Copper
I needed a high temprature furnace for many of my science experiments and projects, so i made a simple furnace using ground as the body of the furnace, and made a fan using 12 volts dc motor and cut the blades out of steel strips. fast supply of oxygen to burning charcoal and wood creates high tempratures of above 1100 Celciuse, depending on the insulation of the furnace body and height, u can even melt steel using forced air furnace, taller furnaces reach higher tempratures than short ones, also the vast amount of oxygen supply provided by the air blower consumes the fuel in a short time and there must be a way to supply more charcoal as it keeps running.
example of uses of this furnace:
-Melt copper wires into ingots (needs flux, otherwise copper will turn into black oxides)
-Melt aluminium drink cans and pots into ingots
-heat treatment of steel for making it hard or soft
-Changing magnetic properties of magnetic iron cores
-Turning carbonate salts into oxides, to be converted into hydroxides with water, baking powder can be turned into sodium oxide in furnace and then be reacted with water to get sodium hydroxide
-Melting NaCl for electrolysis and obtaining Sodium metal
The furnace makes no smoke because of high oxygen levels in the flame, a normal wood fire without an air blower will be smokey..

    If you make the sodium chlorate sugar mix, mix it with water and soak some tissue paper in it. Let it dry and then put the dried tissue paper rolled up into your rocket. We used to make them as kids using the tissue wrapped with aluminium foil. Be careful this stuff is unstable and can seriously hurt you!!!

    Did you try and recrystallize it? For chlorine, i use primitive scrubber, with air stone, water and sodium bicarbonate and long bottle, i cant smell any chlorine so id say its efficient. Not sure how long it will last, but i can always replace content. For temp control i rather use heat pad and lower current for graphite electrodes, or a lot more of them, since it can only take about max 40mA per square cm, unless they fall apart quick. About your 80 degrees C, isn't that temperature in fact most optimal? What do you think about ph control, worth the hassle-product made sooner? Cheers

    the best way to do this is to buy a shit ton of bleach boil it and let it dry it takes 2h max and depending on the hypochlorate concentration of the bleach can yield a lot of sodium chlorate,in my opinion you should make a video about that.

      the motor i used is an old casset player motor, for this u need a 12 volt dc motor, small toy motors are weak. test ur motor by trying to stop the shaft with fingers if its strong u will know.

    I fkng like your videos, I am from India and from your videos I have got inspiration to make this, first I thought to make potassium chlorate as i was trying to make a powerful sound cracker but for making KClO3 we need KCl but i don't currently have it and also I don't want to waste time by searching it.
