LIVE Music, recorded as it happens and sounding like it really should and did at the gig. No frills, just what you see and hear is what the audience got at the time.
Shot with the best gear for the job, and post processed for TH-cam presentation at HD. Some previews are totally unedited and will have crazy cameraman moves as I avoid people, waitresses, anebriated dancers ... you name it .. or if it's a solo shoot, then moving to get different shot angles. WSIWYG.
I have spent many years in the broadcast industry working as a cameraman, sound engineer, equipment designer and - believe it or not - as lead guitarist in a band.
I have worked as a designer in the music industry and produced some of the best sound processing and guitar FX pedals.
I LOVE LIVE MUSIC .. there is no substitute for being there - but this is the nearest I can get. Recommend listening on a decent speaker setup or headphones.
More will be added as I shoot it ...
ENJOY!

Silly sheep. That's a dog!
かっこいい!!
Apologies for the huge delay in reply ... the x920 was the only one available when I bought, and I am SO pleased with it - so that is the main reason for this video and the comments. I subscribed to your channel - interestingly, in a former 'life' I designed in guitar electronics and guitar FX pedals working with Doug Chandler, of Chandler Guitars, later he went to work with PRS guitars. Seriously thinking about remaking my pedal, especially the bass stuff that John Entwhistle used.
Hi .. yes it does output CLEAN HDMI - I have used it several times for this, and will be using two for a show this Sunday with 55" screens ... LIVE.
Hi ... I loved your pictures ... consultation Friend ... you who know this camera (X920) can you tell me if the HDMI output without display information. I need it for CCTV... tank's in advance
Great songs, and I don't even listen to much blues :)
Cute!
Canon EOS5DMkII with Canon EF 34mm F1.4L lens, sound on Sony PCM D50 using soundfield mic and post processed in Vegas 12 pro and Sound Forge 10 to sound exactly like it did live.
Fuck yeah..... I heard Roger Daltrey talking about this band on the Howard Stern Show! He said that they were a good young band.... I have to say I agree! I will stay tuned for sure! You guys Rock!!!!
1:31 = Awesome!
What an amazing piece of class snobbery from elartard. LOL!
Thanks Tony. Excellent AV
Ha Ha that's me sis!!!
They're certainly not posh. They're from Cavan and their accent is not D4. And they're 16, maybe 15. What age are you? Whenever I am at work, and I hear these guys, I am relieved. I would rather their music be popular than all of the other audio vomit I am obliged to hear in the office.
Sound came from an on rig separate mic setup and 24 bit digital recorder. Credits also to the amazing PA sound from the guys at the Venue...and what you hear is The STRYPES!
Camera was EOS5DMKII with 24mm f1.2 lens...sound was my own mix and post process...I concentrate on getting the same feel as the live event. Thanks for your comment...btw I do this because I love live music..especially when it is this GOOD!
Mercalli is a free preset in Vegas 12...the latest v3 of the stand alone version of Mercalli claims to work wirh cmos sensor cameras. However the x920 is remarkably good with two cameras tracking motion stabilisation very closely. My 3D work over the last 4 years has taught me a lot. Understand your comnent...but I find it very rewarding and creative to work with. Gives you a whole new understanding of the intricasies of our eye and brain interpretive capabilities.
The difference between the TM900 and the x920 is quite large. The colour rendition of the x920 is much more natural and accurate in saturation, as well as less noise, and what noise there is is much finer grain than that shown under the same conditions with the TM900.
Err .. that is Mercalli V3.0
The rig is two x920s in 3D sync mode with a Sony PCM50D mounted on it as well as a Beyer MC86 rifle mic. There is NO stabilisation as I was not entirely sure the two cameras track stabilising activity even though they are on the same plate. I only got the cameras the morning of the shoot. The shakiness is mainly caused by audience dancing into me! I am trying out Mercally V3 on the post processing to see if it can fix this. The 3D version looks stunning.
Title of the song is 'I Can Tell'
Thanks Mark, these guys are genuinely good fun to see .. the sound on this recording is EXACTLY how good they are .. unlike the recent bland BBC sound balance attempt on Jools Holland?
The TM700 is the front overhead camera used with slow zoom in the opening shot. The sied cam is the TM900, with the front cam being the x920. The TM700 and TM900 video has been graded in post to match the colour and quality of the x920 as near as possible. With the TM700, this meant a process with NEATV3 .. a stunningly good noise removal plugin for Vegas. The x920 produces very little noise in the same light as the TM700 produces a fair amount of grainy noise. I will put a compare shot soon.
Posh paddys pretending to be rockers. I don't buy those moves. Mommy must be proud of ya.
Probably charity shops
Sound was recorded on a Sony PCM50 as well as off camera 5.1 sound. Mixed on Vegas 12 Pro soundtrack and post processed and equalised using Sound Forge 10 to get a sound as close to the original LIVE sound as we remembered. Also take a look at other videos on my walle3dtv account at youtube
looks very good, how is the sound recorded, i followed the link from b+h, i really can't understand how great stuff like this get's so few views
Nice video, well shot and thanks for putting it up here.
Nos amis Anglais sont des "chanceurs" Ce groupe est EXCEPTIONNEL A eux seuls ils "depoussièrent"les années 60 La classe à l'état pur
How can these kids afford such fine suits?
Hooray, a band that reminds me of the legendary Dr Feelgood at last!
name of this song?
Please note that the equipment legend stating the Sorrows belonged to that band and is being shared on the stage by the Strypes.
Great video and great quality! Would be great to see more of it! Thanks!
