not only did I not like the ending, but the second half just got bad. I could rant about a few things, but my main complaint is just how much character they took out of Hae Soo, our main character. She was so cool in the first episodes in various ways. you can clearly see why she was liked by the princes and was a big impact in the palace. she was different and strong, full of life while bringing a modern era ideas with her. then they made her start doing depressing stares and talking way less, waiting for people to talk to her. she became a random girl that is apart of the time period to me. I get she got traumatized from many events but she became lifeless. pretty disappointing. but I will say one good thing, this show was impressively emotional at times and tugged at my heartstrings

I do not like the ending...Next time I guess I will have to check if the ending is good b4 I watch the movie to check if the ending is a happy one. This broke my heart

So is it the fault of Jung because he changed the letters of Hae Soo 😖😭

A few years ago, when I started to watch this series I’m foolishly was excited to watch a perfect story with the amazing cast and plot. «It must be the pretty happy ending in final episode!», I thought. Oh, how wrong and delusional I was!!! I cried my eyes out and in the next day came to my work looking like the unlucky beekeeper. It’s a cruel, cruel world!😫😫😫

The fact that almost all Princes lost their sane trying to sit on that throne. But the prince who successfully got it was the one who went through hell throughout his life. Also he got everything that he Never wished for 😢. Masterpiece indeed!

This is not a love story!! Wang So was a very selfish man, that is why he ended up alone!! Hae Soo had a pure heart, she truly loved him and sacrifice for what he wanted the most, the throne.. And she did everything she could for everyone, regardless if man or woman!!! Wang Wook was putting her always second... Her 'husband' was the one who truly loved her!! Silently!!! Unconditionally!!! Sacrifice his life for her and for her daughter!!!

Now i get it why he was called wolf from the beginning of the show. He was destined to be 'alone wolf' even amidst all the chaos. And most people dont like the ending but i think it was a perfect ending for the journey each character had. Love it❤

We deserve a season 2 for closure! It's been 2024 everything's fresh and hurt, we need closure please! It's depressing until now how hae so and Wang so separated with that sad ending. Please come back hae so to Wang so😭

2024 this series will always have a special place in my heart and still cant move on to this. This kdrama is one of a kind. you will see what a person can do for love and power. Just a masterpiece.

Pero writing lang ng hari ang bawal gayahin diba at hindi ng mga prinsipe? So bakit hindi nalang pangalan ni Haesoo nilagay ni Jung gamit handwriting niya? If worried siya sa chismis, alam na rin ng lahat about kay Haesoo at So. kung bawal man gayahin kahit ang writing ng prinsipe, edi sana nag lagay ng addition info sa likod ng envelop si Jung para bigyang signal si So na sulat yun ni Haesoo. Oo may kasalanan si So dahil hindi siya nag check. Pero mas malaki parin kasalanan ni Jung kasi alam l niyang sagad sa buto ang galit sa kanya ni So para ientertain siya nito. Hindi ako nakumbinse na gusto lang niya protektahan si Haesoo kaya niya yun nagawa. Sa last scene nga nung balak nang kunin ni So ang abo ni Haesoo, nag refuse siyang ibigay. If just shows na may intensyon siyang ipagdamot si Haesoo.

I hated almost everyone in this drama except Wang So. They caused him so much pain. He just couldn’t catch a break😭.

This is just a fiction but it does happen in real life too . Regrets always comes when it's already too late . The makings of the mystery of life , love , our existence in this world . Happiness , heartaches , etc . are all a part of it . Such a sad story indeed , it made me cry . 😭llee

Wonderful.summary! I was not watching the series anticipating the heartbeak it will bring me! But now I watched it here. Its sublime! Love crossing all boundaries, time, social norms, royal dictum. Rejoicing in love's power to heal! Wonderful acting by all. Characters are so well developed! Great story well told! Especially loved the three main characters. And Lee Jun Gi excels as usual.
