SCUDO VICHINGO EVA FOAM. Terza parte della costruzione dello scudo tipo vikingo in EVA FOAM.Questo scudo HA` la presa uguale come lo scudo originale di legno al centro, siccome non avevo trovato niente su internet ho` deciso di fare a modo mio usando la tecnica che si usa per lo scudo di legno.Guardate il video fino alla fine, c'e anche la spiegazione dell' elmo che ho`fatto tempo fa.

Non ho` trovato niente su internet su come fare uno scudo vikingo con maniglia centrale , allora ho` deciso di farlo io. Viking shield made of EVA FOAM RUBBER ,Not wood!!!! For LARP GRV cosplay or only to have fun in the backyard.

Belli sei bravo io ho acquistato il filo di rame 0.3 ma non essendo esperta è troppo sottile per lavorarlo dovrei incassonare un cerchio di legno puoi darmi consigli?su come fare?e la lacca dove si a acquista?grazie spero mi risponda
laccha per le unghie va bene, tre millimetri dovrebbe andare bene, io lo batto il filo su un piccolo incudine, ma va bene anche senza batterlo

Hi, I made a small paper mockup of the helmet and I wonder if it's needed to have a curved base for the 4 segments. By base, I mean the line that will make the circle around the head. Is it that important?
the human body dont have straight lines ,everything is curved, you have to think in that way
Hi, your helmet is excellent and your remark about the height very interesting. To allow other people to assemble the same medieval accessory (like me ;-), it would be very useful if you could provide an accurate picture of one segment. The difficulty for me is to draw the curves on the sides of the triangle. Congratulation for your work!
you have to try and by doing you will learn , in the beginnig you can not avoid mistakes, the curves are not very strong , I have explained to little I know , my geometrical words are not to good , at the moment that all I have, but good luck for you work !!

Hey I’ve been wanting to make this helmet, but I’m having trouble making the triangles the right shape, could you upload a video with further detail on how you made these?
It is very simple, make your circonference you need , divide for 4 , the hight is about 16 , 18 cm, , but the triangles are slightly rounded from all sides, use the heat gun too to give it the shape, you can use an onion. But will have to try it few times before you get it wright. At the moment I dont have a video to show you, I will make a video soon but not now, but you can try in the meen time. Good luck

salve mi chiamo claudio e vivo in francia e sono appassionato di storia romana faccio parte di un gruppo di ricostituzzione archeologgica e faccio molti modelli di caligae. innanzi tutto volevo dire che i buchi allestremita non esistono la forma puo anche andare e il tuo modello puo arrivare ad uno spessore 6 mm e per allacciare e un po particolare si prendono i due pezzi davantiil filo passano da lesteriore a lanteriore facendo e passandolo dal passaggio destro a quello sinistro e viceversa con laltro e bisogna arrivare fino alla mete come se fosse una pantofola e fare un nodo spero che ti servira per continuare

If you use rigid plastic, you can make the holes with a drill press.
this kind of plastic is strong but not to rigid, but I guess you can use the drill but you have to be carefull because its very dense, hard plastic you can only use the drill or else it would break. But you have to be really carefull if you use drill

Dagorhir boffer battles sport. It's like larp. Changed my mind on the helmet. I'm making the Ultuna helmet. Lamallar for body and greaves. Splinted bracers for forearms.
Leather or plastic. I want to use different colors to have patterns on the lamellar.

The head dress /helmet I like alot. Do you have tutorial for this. It reminds me of a statue head dress /helmet I saw in a magazine, I think it was National Geographic.

That is a basic saxon helmet, and on top I covered it with the lamellar armour bizantin style

precisamente dove hai trovato la materassina?
questo tipo di materassina si dovrebbe trovare dove vendono articoli per la casa e camping ,,ma non vivo in Italia al momento non saprei.. Prova alla casa della gomma,,questa materassina si usa anche per lo Yoga
daylight living quella utilizzata per lo yoga(quella di decathlon) non è buona per le armature, ho provato a fare un paio di armature, ma per vari motivi non è efficace. Su internet il foam vero e proprio(il tuo) sfortunatamente costa troppo
ee ma costa un po,,,la gomma non te la danno gratis....potresti provare con il cartone,,ma anche li tra colore e colle varie va a finire che si spende un po..se fai un armatura come la mia stile greco, potresti usare anche il tessuto e sovrapporlo uno sull altro per avere un po di rigidita e spessore,,,,
daylight living Preferisco utilizzare il materassino da yoga a questo punto, anche se il risultato non mi soddisfa del tutto. Comunque costruisco armature medievali
