Im so glad i found this video, im only 52 but the Skyliers have been one of my favorite vocal groups since I was a kid growing up in the Philadelphia area. As a teenager when my folks were out, I'd play 45's and turn them up and tried to sing like Jimmy, wanted to song like him so bad. My daughter, now 17 has also been a huge Skyliners fan and we were planning on attending a concert to see them but then Jimmy passed. This was a great moment, God bless Jimmys family 🙂
Were The Skyliners and Castells the same band?
No. My dad and a couple other members of the Skyliners were in the Crescents before the Skyliners. The Skyliners evolved from the Crescents.

@@skeeterblanton5226 my dad is Jimmy Beaumont, so yes. :) As far as my favorites, they are some of the lesser known hits. It Happened Today, Where Have They Gone, Pennies from Heaven. Of course, I listen to them all, and love them all!

The ultimate doo-wop love song. It can be sung in a concert hall with 50 singers or on a street corner with 4 octives. Doesn't matter, the song is so timely and beautiful. RIP Mr. Beaumont.
Mr.james Beaumont, was accepted too rock n rolled hall fames, is times..it tooked a longs times, 2017s not sure.. I couldn't comprehend why? That's longs glad he's died but his wife's stills alives she's got it..also she's sangs with hers long times partnerships
Yes I was born yrs, 1955s I do remembers this .grps sky liners, those yrs, my granny had a old radios.. and she's turned it on and I was n..a old baby, cribs..I did focused on sounded..and I heard this man, sangs..his voicals is clears had a high falsetto, and is lower, he's a greatest, male voicals,
