This is just false..without that transom saver your boat, motor, and trailer are taking load independently cause more force on each. Once you place the transom saver the force is divided by each of the point because their taking the load as one unit. Both types of transom saver work just as effectively because they’re doing the same thing.

out of curiosity can you use these in saltwater? assuming i switch out the hooks to saltwater hooks

From what i have found the transom of the boat is built to take it. The motor hinge is what folks seem to be protecting the most. Now with the motor tilted up the weight is distributed evenly front to back is another thing i have read about.

They are only made to hold 3 rods. They don’t know what directions you are going to put your poles so they give you both options on each one. Either way it’s only meant to hold 3 rods with reels. Other brands do it also.

The force the motor places on the transom simply pushing the boat through the water is much higher than any force the motor has on the transom by simply hanging off the back. All transom "savers" are unnecessary and a gimmick.

If my transom can't support the weight of the engine bouncing on the road how can it support the full force of the engine bouncing the boat into a chop?

If you have the hook perpendicular to the worm, what happens if the fish strikes n the opposite side of the hook? If the worm is parallel to the worm at least you have a chance.

They both have their negatives. But that transom saver you’re pushing puts a ton a stress on your lower unit. Every bump and pothole. Look how many of those break going down the road. Your motor is absorbing all of that.

I was worried for a second there. Until I saw you pull out that saver that gets bolted to your trailer, I got a similar one. Definitely makes it better if you use logic.

If you trimmed your motor down fully for transport, like most outbourd manifacturers recommend you do.. people wont need a "transom saver" because your not putting the amplified stress of a trimmed out motor on the bracket. Never fully trim out your motor for travel, unless you have ground clearence issues, even then only trim it up as much as needed . trimming up you motor is really only nessaacry to prevent groth when your boat lives in the water.

I don’t think you understand if both of them are identical as you say they are if you flip one upside down as others have said then they should work perfectly So instead of have tip slots matching up you will have tip slots and butt slots matching up

The flares on your frogs are pretty short, is it worth trimming them? My frogs are still new but used and aren’t trimmed. Also how much should you trim?

O rings cost more money they are overrated and not necessary. I’ll make a how to video that gets rid of Orings all together. Strictly just hook and go. Catching dozens of fish on a single worm.

Straight shank provides better hookups. If you want a hook thats better for cover when using a worm. Use a worm hook.

Those weedless hooks are garbage. You'll miss a ton of hooksets. Just use your normal 2/0 wacky hook and roll raw.

Throw that color worm wacky rigged and pop it as you reel in and the bass go nuts for it.😊
