Glad to see he came up to you nice and easy. I was fishing in my canoe in Minnesota when a game warden came flying up to me just to check if I had a fishing license. I was completely legal. He nearly capsized me with the wake from his boat.

When you dont do anything wrong you don't have to be defensive. He handled that beautifully

I've lived in multiple states do to school and work But Texas is home lived here most of the last 40 years and I've never had a bad encounter with a Texas game warden unlike other states I've lived and fished in where the game wardens are only looking to take your gear because they can. (Edit) I read his pinned comment and he's turned off replies but there are cases headed to SCOUS that are challenging Open field doctrine as an unconstitutional law, as the 4th amendment is an inalienable right, therefore no exception should ever be made to it and the langue of the 4th amendment in its text say secure in self , papers and properties which cover land and possessions.
