Just for clarification, the belt was scrubbing against the outside sheave of the primary clutch. This was fixed using a aftermarket assassins c clip delete kit. What this video is showing is that factory c clip had failed, along with the primary clutch bearing had seized. I will make a video showing the secondary clutch after the repair. It shifts much better.
Simple man? Ironic. One of the wheels will be broken off within a year.
Shocks looks awesome. I really hope they worked out for you. The exhaust looks cool as well. I have a 2016 Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport 700 Limited. It has the Elka Stage 5 shocks. I love the machine and the shocks are amazing. I live in Northern Ontario Canada. I primarily ride in the bush and on logging roads. The shocks absorb the bumps very well. The machine has the full doors with the front and rear windshields so with the engine being under the driver seat it get very hot and you have no choice but to ride with the front windshield wide open to keep things cool. You are totally correct on the dirt and whatnot coming off the tires into the cab. It gets really bad in sloppy conditions. I am purchasing some aftermarket fender flares from a dealer here in Canada for 180 bucks. The reviews are good. I run ITP Mud Lites and I find they are great for most conditions. Anyways have a blast with the machine. I love mine. Happy trails.
The sport is a great value for the money! The Elka shocks are awesome! When it’s hot I remove the little cover above the valve cover of the engine, It helps a little. Some one from the comments recommended diverting the cvt exit away from the fire wall to help with the heat as well. I haven’t tried that yet. Thank you for the comment!
Thank you for commenting! I will look into that cvt exhaust routing it away from the cab. I already re- routed the fuel line. I have been wanting to try the bandits for a while. But I do love the king shocks and the elka shocks as well.
If you want to reduce the heat in the cab, check the factory routing of the clutch exhaust tube. Its pointed directly at the lower center console area and enters the cabin. If you loosen the clamp at the clutch box for the exhaust tube, you can rotate it 180 and route it up and out the sparkplug access panel without any mods
Make sure ur gas tank vent line isn't still zip tied to the pass rear control arm. It will suck up junk and kill ur cat
Have you checked the rollers in your secondary clutch?? Mine were chipping and crumbling at 1500kms . You can get heavy duty rollers. They are costly tho. Can't find the part number at the moment
For the price of the bandits I think I would have opted for the king shocks that are factory on the 2017 limited. I have the first gen 2015 elkas with longer preload then the replacements (factory recall for rubbing springs) They are epic shocks.
All you had to do to fix your primary clutch was take it apart and sand the buttons down. The m.m.c. specs for the clutch are too tight
Looks like fun, I remember riding the river bottom in Arizona what a good time
Riding the desert Mad Max style!!
Yes sir!
Can you please do a video showing how the dynojet screen works. The features and maybe show it while the auto tune is running/working. Awesome build. You have me inspired to get back to making content on my very custom diy 700 sport limited
Awesome, I would like to see more videos on wildcat sport! I will work on a video involving the pod 300 and review of all of the parts I installed soon!
If you take off your spark plug access panel. Your engine can breathe better. Also look how the cvt covers exhaust tube is routed. Its pointed so the heat goes in the cab. I turned mine 180 and ran it up and out my sparkplug access hole. You could also point it out towards the tire
In the sand I run no cvt cover to keep temps low!
How has this been? Have you had it out on a bunch of rides? I read and did a ton of research and opted to just get the dynojet kit but no auto tune or the screen. Read that alot of people had issues with it and that at times it was robbing power or messing with the map in a negative way
I have not had any issues with it at all
I cut a big relief hole around the 02 sensor so it doesn't rub. Read on the forums about it
Have you seen people do the oil pressure light mod???
Yes, I never got around to it but I heard of the mod. It would be good to do, especially if you go turbo.
Nice. While i was installing my headers I had a brainwave and port and polished the inners and had them ceramic coated inside. Love the green
Thank you
Do you know how much your wheel and tire combo weigh? Are they 28" tires?
They are 27inch, 48 lbs rears 46 lbs fronts. 8 ply
Is the fuel line vent line still attached to the pass lower control arm??? They suck up junk and go boom if you don't relocate the line
Not routed it up the fire wall and down to the frame.
Dont sand the pillars on your primary!! Take it apart and sand the black button washers that contact the towers. They cost less to replace then a new primary
I will look into that, I have my old primary and want to recondition it for a back up! I would rather sand down the buttons than remove metal from the towers!
Still got it????
Yes I do!
Super clean !
Sick
Too excited left the straps on lol.
Any plans on making a review of all the upgrades done to your wildcat sport?
Absolutely, I am currently working one that project right now! Plus a trip to the dunes to really show how well it all works together. Thank you for commenting!
Well done Mason!
Thank you!
Love your videos! We're wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing our aftermarket UTV and ATV accessories in one of your videos. If you are, please let us know your contact information.
This is an awesome drive on a great trail! Enjoyed your film!
Glad you enjoyed it
Are y’all in waynoka
Yes
Waiting for another POV video of this buggy. Love those VW engine tunes.
Awesome, they are a lot of fun!
Hi I have a rzr too and a can am and a motto
I think i need an in person experience, up some dirt trails!!
This thing is a blast.
Cool video, love those vw buggies
stock valve springs?
engle high rev springs. But it has a stock crank so I don't rev it much above 5.
Love your videos! Please show your footwork next time... would be very interesting.
It is definitely in the works for this years upcoming off-road trip to moonlight racing!
Dubit Fast would be cool to see that! Especially showing it from cold start to the time you shut it off. I love the longer videos like that
I'm new to editing video and I could have cut it down more, shot video all day and most of it had mud on the camera. I will shoot a vid of the buggy when i get a chance. In the near future it will get dual carbs and disk brakes. Got to love a good buggy!
I like the video and the head lights look good. Make us another video of maybe a walk around. Good to see that you are not afraid to get it muddy! BTW, thanks for commenting on my buggy video.
