denim is always cool and youthful. Trainers/sneakers: age 58, I've finally bought my first pair, it's the Adidas Handball Spezial and they're so comfortable (I have wide almost flat feet with bunions and a problem big toe). The shop assistant explained to me they are wider and more comfortable than the Samba. I bought my Handball Spezial in blue suede with white stripes to go with my denim skirts, jeans and dresses, velvet and corduroy trousers/pants, suede jacket and blazers. A great way to dress down an outfit to look more youthful and current. PS If you have a tummy, an A-line skirt and wide jeans/pants will disguise it, as will a long scarf and the right length blazer.
