An old tune from 2010 and my first “music video”. For some reason the original video went out in black and white. I recently found the raw footage and was amazed to see the vivid colours seen here, hence this re-edit. Now in glorious technicolour! Why did he look so broody?
@@martynblackburn9632 Meds probably. My brother was being bullied at school in those days by some shits.
I work in Victoria it’s a shit hole now tbh!
I really inspire to make a video like this one day!! Great editing and great song!!
Go for it!
now London looks like Afghanistan
wheyyyyy
whey hey
Great vid. Your dad was Irish was he ? Seemed like a great fella
I travel to London every day for work on the tube and trust me it’s nothing like this now it’s like a zoo
ミーシャ素敵!最高!!
とてもいい曲❤
Your dad was a year older than mine who I lost in 2013. Nice that you have these films of him.
Aug93 my first trip to London. At that time it was like traveling to another planet, or being 50 years ahead. And i was coming from Milan, not from North Korea. Remember Jurassic Park film ads on the buses - i was a kid, my English was bad, supposed it was an ad of a real park, not of a film.
So sweet.❤👍
30 years and it’s been lost
Born in 1989, so I was 4 in 1993, London was so special in the 90s and even into the 00s it was still a great city, I grew up in South East London, Greenwich specifically, even seeing how much different the tube map was back then, The Jubilee line still went to Charing Cross, the link to Stratford still years away, no Elizabeth line, DLR in its infancy, so much has changed and not for the better
londonistan
John Major doesn't seem such a bad prime minister now.
What a blast!!!
I remember that black bus stand at 9:59, I remember it as a distinct childhood memory I think they must have tore it down in the late 90s
Early 90s was my favourite era in London then it all seemed to go downhill
london was awful in the 90s but the only thing i miss is that people weren't so 'put together' and 'preened'. they were also more present.
Well said. It was rough 30 years ago by today's standards but people were more genuine
This is the London I remember. We are about the same age. I left the UK in 92. I live in the US and both countries have evolved. I do miss the era!
Am from Belfast myself, went from watching a group of lads larking around on holiday to watching your tribute to your dad, if I may could I enquire as to which part of Belfast your dad was from ?
Falls Road. Thanks for watching!
Yet to try “jack russell” whiskey, 42:23 don’t think you’ll “catch “ me drinking it !
Too right about travelers cheques, you paid commission to buy them and commission to convert them to cash, absolute rip off !
Doesn’t seem that long ago yet 2054 is closer to us today than this video 😱

Great watching your videos from past to present 🎉 Do any of your family members now feature in present day videos???
Being mixed heritage and in school yes I would but with the knowledge of three moments that changed my life and could save my dad and my child and my home the social and combat skills I picked up and strength from the streets and a few good investment opportunities I know today and the knowledge that I was not wat they called me and said the only thing I would be good for and I would not have let them boys assult me due to the self defence all because of my family being poor and my parents were different and married for love I was a half breed to them. I took it modelled and joined the RAMC and am a emergency relief worker and nurse that specialises in trumatic events like SA and DV so what happened to me I turned into a super power like radar you see it in the broken and hurt I can get them to open up accept help. So maybe if I was not a survivor I wouldn't have been this broken but helpful thing. What if I had had that 0 trumatic events thing I wonder. But yes I loved the 90s its just before tech hit people had money wages were fair and music was bomb. It was the peak before life was taken over with social media tech and labour going whoops sorry were in a deficit sorry bout the loans and credit cards we handed out freely lol. Remember the lib labour government that was funny AF . But yes it was beautiful and simple. No the people who were racist were not white they were pure blood POC. I never quite fit in I was never enough. Yes I would go back in a moment if I could stop my dads passing and the fire that took so much a simple blowing out of a candle and a no to a car ride.
Dogg at his best!!! My favorite Doggy performance!!

London was brilliant in the early 90s. I remember it well and like others commenting, here I can only wish I had the foresight as you did to capture it as it was back then. Thank you for sharing this!
London was London then. Now unrecognisable
@@matthewdoyle3877 it's better now than then. getting racially abused or misogynistic comments wasn't fun. it is still london.
@@matthewdoyle3877 what do you mean? Go on, say it with your whole chest, coward.
@@biegebythesea6775 What you talking about, so many knife/sword crimes in the last 10 years in London and outside of London! Was never like that in the 80's/90's!
@@mikekaraoke in the 80s and 90s it was fists and sometimes guns and knives. men have always been violent. nothing has changed there.
London in the 90s is different today

Thanks for sharing this. It's really nostalgic, but also it must be very personal to you. Your brother seems so out of his comfort zone, but he seems so sweet. especially when you ask him if he's OK and he says yes. Bless him. A day out in London is never easy for an introvert.
Its still same exept people and camera quality changed 😂
I love it❣️☺️👍✨
Show this to your children so they can compare.
In what seems like a moment, a factual recording of everyday life now can become a poignant reminder of special times past. You were both his greatest achievement.
Thanks for the kind words

Not one refurbished tube train in sight...
walked along the strand a few months back at 9 am in the morning, was literally like a lunatic asylum, London has literally gone to hell
Left the UK in 2010, haven't set foot back and never will, it is done
The exact month we moved from Cornwall to London when I was 13, a hugely formative time for me and this video captures that time so well. It’s like a Time Machine, thanks for this 👌
Many times I made that journey back from Oxford street but we’d get the 144 from Turnpike Lane to Muswell Hill
Madly nostalgic
Glad you enjoyed it! Must’ve been a big leap moving from Cornwall to London!
great video, is/was your dad Northern Irish? :)
Thank you! Yes. Was from West Belfast!
I was in London around this time (first and only time), on a school trip to the Houses of Parliament, there was an IRA bomb threat and we got rushed out through secret tunnels. And on the bus going in, a car followed us about, the driver had his dick out, having a tug to the eleven year old girls on the back of the bus. But things were so much better then.
I went to London in 1998 and I saw a man doing a ventriloquist show in Leicester Square and his dummy was throwing piñatas and sherbet lollipops to the audience 🎈🧑🏻🦰🧎🏼♀️
nice archive there boys. Love it ❤
The filming and edits are brilliant. Well done..
Very interesting, thanks for the post!
