La chorale de Gospel et Negro Spiritual à Orvault dans la région de Nantes, a été fondée par un groupe de choristes déjà passionnés…Bien au-delà des croyances ou des non-croyances de chacun, on reste difficilement insensible devant un spectacle de Gospel ; C’est cette émotion particulière, cette énergie incroyable que nous voulons transmettre.
A l’aide d’un répertoire varié, nous voyageons à travers l’histoire de cette musique, nous plongeons dans cette émotion qui tire pourtant ses sources dans une souffrance et une injustice profondes. Des rythmes africains aux champs de coton, des premiers chants des églises noires aux paillettes de Mahalia Jackson, de l’a capella aux rythmes effrénés du modern gospel, Gospel Rhapsody est une aventure musicale particulière à travers le temps, l’espace et les styles…
