Alan was one of our bow hunting hero’s as kids. Growing up and learning to bow hunt in the 80s, I owe a lot of my early successes to him. Also I just want to say a huge thank you! I’m really happy to see him hunting and what a great moment with his son. Great video. Thanks again!

Great video and great buck! Hey, I'm curious which jacket that is you're wearing at the 11 minute mark where you make the shot. It looks like a First Lite puffy of some kind, is it quiet enough for bowhunting close?

I found pockets of big bucks in october they went missing in November. Normally crap spots will get good in november so if youre in a crap spotor on a crap farm therut is your friend.

I killed a nice 8 point in a pouring rain by getting in way before daylight and setting up on a logging road that he bedded on.

I live in northern WV and the coyotes are decimating the deer herd.

A general rule of thumb is that big bucks simply go where they are not bothered.

Maybe you stick boys could help with something. After listening to Alan Altizer and Nathan they state that in the mountains, you might have to sit in a spot for several days before you see a nice buck. When you only have a two week gun season that might mean a max of four different spots. Wouldn’t it take a lifetime to gather enough experience and Intel to hunt the mountains? How do you know when to stick a spot out versus bail if you have to give a spot a few days? It’s also doubtful the wind would be good for several days in a row, especially in the mountains.

It’s crazy how different a shot can look in real time verse slow motion. With just watching it as it happened I thought the shot was further back but in reality it was a great shot considering the deer kept walking after you attempted to stop him! Great video man! Keep it up!

So many memories flooded me watching this episode. Our oldest is 20 years old. The middle will be 16 turn and the youngest will be next month. I can still see all three at that age counting points on deer and taking adventures in the woods with Momma and Daddy. Love it
