Odense to Great Belt Bridge and on to Copenhagen, Denmark. Part 20 of Northern European Road Trip
A drive from outside Odense along the E 20 motorway, all the way to Copenhagen via The Great Belt Bridge. I have to say, I love this part of Denmark!
Due to music copyright issues, my future videos won't all be available in all locations.
For all my videos I have tended to make two versions, one for me with a soundtrack I can enjoy, and a TH-cam friendly version to upload. As my videos get so few views, I decided that it isn't worth bothering with a second version apart from where TH-cam completely blocks my upload, so we'll see what happens!
Note. In addition to "E" European road numbers, roads use the prefix "PR" for "Primærrute" (Primary Route) road numbers, and "SR" for "Sekundærrute" (Secondary Route) road numbers in Denmark.

Thank you, and thanks for watching. I use a Viofo dashcam, but actually, I can't really recommend it. I'm more than satisfied with the picture quality but it has a nasty habit of skipping the occasional 5 to 10 seconds of recordings. It doesn't happen all the time, and can go months when it's fine, but then you get a load of almost useless footage. I'm afraid I think I can almost guarantee that when I really need some footage due to an accident or something, it'll be missing! Enjoy your road trip, I thoroughly enjoyed mine.

Hi, if you take the AP-7 there are three toll plazas to drive through and the cost varies with the time of year. I don't remember how much that route actually cost me, but probably less than €15. You can avoid the tolls completely by using the A-7 coast road.

    • @dansdashcamlife
      @dansdashcamlife 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Generally the motorways here are absolutely World class, but the standard can be very variable. Near my home we have what appears to be a free flowing intersection between the AP-7 and another main road, but as you get to the end of the on ramp, ready to accelerate away to merge onto the motorway, in fact you have to completely stop as there is literally no acceleration lane! It's very easy to pick out the tourists in their hire cars at that one!!!!!!

I can say its quite different to what we have here on the east coast, it's almost like one minute you're still out in the boonies and next BOOM you're in Perth, whereas over here you'd need to pass through a long line of towns and smaller cities

Either its still 1955 in Broken Hill or there was some kind of classic car convention going on there

Either option might be the case!!!!!

Crest the hill and the Mundi Mundi plain stretches out before you all the way to the horizon. Impressive and breath taking view

Absolutely, but the video and photos just don't do it justice at all.

Smart move not to stay in Wilcannia for the night

I heard so many times that Wilcannia would not be a good place to stay, I was still concerned at being as close as I was!

Slower to see the scenery and stopping at certain sites Eg beaches or points of interest and talking about them would probably get you more subscriber's and likes !

Hard to appreciate just how steep the ascent/descent is until you drive it. TV doesn't do it justice.

    • @dansdashcamlife

Absolutely right. It really is amazing when you see the speed they race around there and realise how steep it is - 60kph is quite fast enough!!!!!!

Nice to see it just after they realigned the A3 I can't believe in Tasmania just to go to Port Arthur you have to travel an hour through various landscapes including undeveloped temperate forest

Yeah, Tasmania is such a great place to visit and drive around. I have to admit I was surprised how far it was to Port Arthur, as I'd always imagined it to be just outside Hobart!
