The reason why the cars dont “bounce” when they crash is because of licensing issues. Car companies dont want to see their cars get completely wrecked in a game for “just racing”
I've heard of this before and it's such a dumb reason. Like we all need to live in an advertising fantasy land where we pretend car's don't get damaged in crashes lol
kunos is pretty bad at making crash\collision physics for their games, although ACC is an improveemnt over AC AC is borderline unplayable

the game focuses more on the racing part than the crashing part of racing which is pretty weird but its also licensing issues from the car companies not wanting their cars to be horribly damaged by a stupid driver. The companies just want to focus on the “racing” part of racing
