I'd tear it down and replace the frame and suspension under it, give it a proper 4-link or leaf spring/straight rail frame set up.

Moves and steers about as well as my old Sun Dolphin paddle boat.

The original Equalizer was/is a great race truck with that iconic front suspension design. Blast to watch. Fast as heck, and handled jumps like no other at the time. Looks to still be the case after all these years. 😉

what all different axles do people use on monster trucks these days

Is there a standard width for the axels on monster trucks? Or is it just the wheel offset that’s fooling me? The excursion track looks wider than other trucks I have seen.

I would brace the stilts better and put new bags on it but then use a hydraulic system and put a lift for easier access to the doors make a ride truck out of that cause it's set up perfect for it already

Where/who did Mike Vaters get the truck from and what condition was it in? Favorite truck back in the day!

Which spring shop did your dad work for? I am a Rudik and worked and Rudik spring and brake in Worcester MA and made a full 4wd set of 26 arch springs for an 86 chevy 4wd 3/4 ton. Looked very similar!

When I first built my truck with the air ride I used one line to the back one to the front and found out that wasn’t the thing to do I have a valve now that I can control each bag individually. The driver side would always go down first the only thing I ever could figure out was the steering column and brake booster are on that side making it a touch heavier and you better have shocks on her cause she going to be bouncy lol

That thing is pretty wild! Makes the buss look small.. we gotta have a drag race between the excursion and the buss!

I had an air bag blow up on me once and couldn't hear anything for awhile cause i was underneath a trailer working

A swaybar will help it for sure and at some point , i would recommend removing the air bags and replace them with coilovers . Cool piece

Air bags are sketchy, they need guides to stay in line with the pedestal. Those are a roll over waiting to happen! That's why they sold it, probably almost rolled it!

Those T fittings are why you're having the issue. Just need to individualize the bags. I have some manual management from an air ride setup off a mini truck with some big air lines

You need to put some 73" tires under it. Those 66's look like golf cart tires on it.

I've had a couple bags blow up. Made the cars next to me dive into the other lanes. Felt like a tire went 😂

I'd replace the airbags with better suspension
