The fact that neither of them wanted to do this episode because they felt it was so over the top and unrealistic but killed it is a testament to them as actors. I’m glad that Debbie Allen gave them this moment also. Because up until that point I can’t remember seeing a black woman having the princess wedding and/or her man fighting to keep her or get her back on television like you’d seen played out in many mostly white cast shows. (That’s not a knock on white people or those shows).
I swear, I can watch this scene over and over again... I remember the first time it aired: date and time😅 and still hits the same EVERY TIME! THIS ENERGY IS REAL❤❤❤ WHO'S LOVING THAT BLACK 90'S LOVE IN 2024!!??
This was when everyone wanted to see each other win. Now a days the world is so full of hatred nobody is happy for anybody. But be quick to show the world how "happy" they are on social media. I miss when real love was really a thing.
I could not wait for these two to get together entirely, I was cheesing so hard during this scene! it always gives me butterflies every time I watch this because it feels so raw and pure - A man like Dwayne is a beautiful dream <3 .
I love everything about scene. The smallest things, Whitley eyes says a lot. Dwayne saying baby please. let the brother speak... Ron standing up for Dwayne. Diahann Carroll telling Dwayne to just die. The pastors spoke with the conviction of God.... I just soooo love IT ALL and every time I watch it I still get the same feeling. CLASSIC | THE BEST
Wow.... I remember watching this back at the time when it initially aired and how I was jumping up and down. These 2 characters even with all the ups and downs in their relationship you wanted them to be together. Kenu was a pretty and educated young lady but you always wanted Dwayne to end back up with Whitley. It was nice seeing them both grow into who they became to be.

The funniest part about it is when Whitley's mom fainted and Mr Gaines wife was taking pictures of her😅
Boooyyy Byron was butt hurt 😂😂 This was one of my favorite episodes with Dwayne’s vows and Whitley saying I do.
Baby please 🤣
Ron jumped up quick for 😂 his homeboy

3:12 is she really taking snapshots of Whitley's mother fainting?😅
2:43 Byron and his entourage are like "C'mon y'all, let's go build Skynet! That shit will take care of THIS!"
1:48 really?!?!?!
2:58 when have you ever heard of priest or pastor say "Go ahead and do it boy!"😅
The preacher was like go ahead don't boy!!! 😂😂😂😂
Yes this was a moment in the black community..everyone was outside yelling and screaming😂😂😂😂😂
'You heard her you heard her she said 'I do' - BUT TO WHOM lmaooo
That lady crazy! 😂😂😂Taking pics of Marion after she fell out ! I can't🤭🤣
“DIE JUST DIE” 😂😂😂
When Kim squealed out “Whitley!!” That’s that friend who knew her girl was doing the right thing!
The way Ron stood up quick for his boy ! thats a friend : )
Hey if you love someone why not go all out or go home
That scene changed "the game" and they both always "vibe" together to make it one of the best shows on the air! 😎👏🏽
THIS AND WHEN TUPAC WAS ON THE SHOW, WILL 4EVER BE MY FAVORITE SCENE!!!!
I still remember this, it was hilarious
