I have the same problem, I checked all of the start sircuit wires, all good,j left it for the night, came back the next day tuned the key, and it started, the starter ,relay and wires are good,so I cranked the shifter back and forth real quick and pack to park and it started perfect. The problem may be in the caulum and not the safety switch.

They look nice but I always question how long cheap aftermarket stuff like this will last. Whered you get the rear lights?

Can a real old safety switch stop sending the singel to the silnoid and not cause any other symptons showing its bad.

Just my opinion but looks better if you just use matching gorilla tape as repair or to tape something down rather than camo the whole seat. Good job though

11mm on my 96. On my driver's side it appears the stud for the bolt came lose. Should attempt to cut the nut with the Dremel, or not worry about what I cut and buy new trim piece?

I was wondering if that was my issue. As I replaced bad negative and positive battery cable. Replaced the starter and external solenoid. And even the neutral safety switch as I watched your other video when you replaced yours. And another dude said when you dont have power to the S wire check the NSS. . I do know that all fuses and relays are good. And the wires to them under fuse box are good. I do have a little play and stiffness in the shifter cable as the metal cable is frayed and doesn't shift smoothly. I learned on another video that the bolts under the steering wheel holding the shifter cable in F 150s are also notorious for coming loose and causing starting issues. Im going to check that out first. But thanks to your video you gave me another option just in case that don't work. As I was considering buying a power probe ect to trace the wire. Good work my dude. Thanks.

Try lighter fluid. I generally use that to remove sticky adhesives. Take your shop towel and hold it against the door and then douse it with the fluid. It will stick in place. Let it soak for 20 minutes. Another trick I use to clean up rusty chrome, and this will sound funny, but it works. Take your old underwear briefs (I never throw out worn out clothes; they go in a bag for the shop to get more life out of them) with the elastic band and use that once you remove the lighter fluid soaked shop towel. The rubber inside the cotton outer part generates heat from the friction of rubbing. It works great on rusty chrome without scratching like steel wool does (like some people do...bad idea).

If this vehicle have the 6.0 Powerstroke engine installed, your problem with hot no-start may be related to the HEUI injection system International used from Caterpillar. Please google all you can find about HEUI especially hot no-start and internal oil leak. If this engine have HEUI injection, it uses the engine oil to make the high injection pressure inside the injector itself. That is why the oil need to the replaced so often - like 5000 miles because the HPOP and LOPOP are brutal to the oil longevety. If it starts up cold, work like normal - then when hot struggle to or refuse to start, you might have an internal oil leak. Some places could be like injector O-rings, O-ring between injector and oil rail, stand pipes or dummy plug - even the O-ring where the nipple cups reside in the oil rail. Most of theese engines have been trough an TSB where dummy plug and standpipes where updated - if yours is not, please do so. You need a computer or any software that talk with the engines PCM trough the OBDII connector. Cheapest way to do this (I have found) is Forscan (or similair) application on your phone trough an ELM327 dongle that connects trough the vehicles OBDII port - costs are nearly nothing. Using Forscan app you can read the High Pressure Oil Pump pressure in the rail in real time. You need some kind of scan tool for this together with good and solid information on how to seek after oil pressure leek on HEUI enngines. I have found the Ford-trucksdotcom forums to be extreemely helpfull. You mentioned the injection pump going bad - its very seldom that the HPOP on 2004 and newer go bad - the 03 where made of aluminium and ate themselves - if the HPOP where bad they are weak even cold and this you should be able to see on the Forscan in realtime. Please do some research before trowing parts on this engine - IF you have the 6.0 Powerstroke that is. This is just my 2 cents worth and I wish you all the best in solving this.
